I groaned when Gwen interrupted the teaching moment between Parker and Morales with a "tee hee boys" moment

Really on the fence with this one.

It's gorgeous visually though.

It's just a white 2015 ford escape.  I named him Brynjar
I liked your suby
Josiah was a good car, but he was on his last leg.  Served me well he did. ;~;7
Man I’m really struggling to think of something gayer than calling your car Josiah
I was gonna name my new car Oswald, but only if it were blue
Oswald the Octopus?

Whilst I think violence should be approached carefully and tastefully depending on the media in question, I understand the thought process behind being tentative regarding sexuality in media and I think that graphic sexual content is highly distasteful.

Cringe

Why, exactly? It's basically just a board game but with more of a narrative aspect. Is it the enthusiasm I expressed regarding it's release? I could see how that could come across as almost advertisement-like, but that wasn't my intention.

this is one of those things where if you use your imagination it's quite cool and rich, but if you don't, then it's just embarrassing

edit: I deleted "cringe" and changed it to embarrassing not to hurt your feelings, but challengerX called it out so FUCK NIGGA WHAT

Oh yeah, if you don't put any time or thought into your dudes, or try and get invested in the events of the game or use your imagination it's totally lame. If you do use your imagination though, it can be a lot of fun.

40k isn't exactly a well balanced game anyway, so I really don't understand people who play competitively or play as a faction because their rules are better than others.

This looks really cool; it's neat that they're making Kill Team a standalone game rather than it just being an expansion or something.

It looks a lot more manageable to play, paint, and build for too. Each side consists of five to ten models depending on the faction in question. This is a lot more manageable in terms of expense and time, as it's a lot easier to paint five or ten dudes compared to fifty for standard 40k.

The box set looks pretty neat.

These past few months I've been trying to get my brother into 40k so we have something to do together. I bought the recent Forgebane box set for us to play with, as he likes Necrons and I already had a moderately sized force of Adeptus Mechanicus dudes, and 8th edition is a lot easier to play than previous editions.

Still, I found it a bit difficult to get started because we didn't have any terrain (playing on a flat surface with no cover or buildings of any kind is boring), and it's a lot of work to build and paint even the small force of Necrons and Skitarii that came with Forgebane.

This looks like it solves a lot of those issues given the small scale and the inclusion of a game board and some terrain in the box set.

Should I post or not post

I mean, everybody is posting jokes in this thread so whatever you're thinking, now's probably not the time.

Actually, the fact that you seem to really be debating posting tells me now is definitely not the time.

On a related note, my favorite characters (not necessarily in order, although Joseph and Diego are definitely around the top):

Joseph

Diego Husbrando

Jotaro

DIO

Kira

Funny Valentine

My boy Joseph, followed by Jotaro.

Jonothan is a wholesome boy.

Johnny is a good character but I don't personally like him.

I think Josuke is boring and I hate the explanation for his existence.

Working with models and painting them (super lazy about that last part though).

Discussing films and other media, especially science fiction.
Would you ever make and sell action figures?
Probably not. The models I work with are at a small scale (about 1" tall for an average sized human) and aren't designed with articulation. I haven't really thought about it before but there's probably a lot of work and funds required to even start (plastic molding equipment, which is very expensive, etc).

He has cartoony or fictional guns like the BFG-9000, plasma gun, railgun, rocket launcher, etc.

the neck snap got into brawl and that sounds way more violent than what I just mentioned
BFG also stands for "big fucking gun" and i'm sorry but you can't get away with that in a smash bros game

and you can't have doomguy in smash without his BFG as his final smash, it just doesn't work

i don't understand why you'd want a lesser, pussified version of a character when sakurai has gone to such lengths to make each and every character (except ridley, i guess) REFLECT in some way how they play in their respective games
Quote
I don't like her either but she got into the game in the first place, and I'd argue Doomguy is a more appropriate character than her. Doesn't she use real guns too?

His size does seem to vary a bit as far as I can tell from game to game, and in Smash he's really hunched over which makes him appear smaller.

why are you mad an evil space pterodactyl is in the game
ridley's size hasn't varied that much, really—his typical size ranges from "very big" to "fucking immense," and the only time he's ever been small is in metroid 1, which was more due to the NES's limitations than anything else

if they remade metroid 1, they'd buff up ridley's size (or maybe they wouldn't now, who knows)

it's inherently upsetting to me when you start taking away fundamental properties of what makes characters cool—i don't wanna play as a miniature-ass baby ridley, i wanna rip people's guts out with a normal sized ridley, because the intimidation factor of his sheer size is part of what makes the character cool and scary, and that's gone now

i understand it would be imbalanced, but that's why i never wanted him in the first place

I mean, there's no need to mention waht BFG stands for.

Otherwise I understand the reasoning behind your stance. I disagree, but I understand your opinion and appreciate your civility.

the next time sakurai gets interviewed, i want someone to ask him why ridley is in the game after he gave a legitimate, repeated, and agreeable reason why he wasn't in the game for years

he'll probably talk about how bowser changes size all the time and shit, and how olimar and kirby are actually very small, but those are highly stylized cartoon characters, so it works

ridley is a lot less cartoonish, he's meant to be TERRIFYING, and now he's a goddamn shrimp

and i'm supposed to be hyped about this

I unironically think he would be a great fit
You are wrong.
>retro pick
>iconic franchise of notable importance
>lots of weapons and abilities that could be moves (b for super shotgun)

fuck verb why don't you like something that could be so cool
>Rated M ultraviolent franchise where he wouldn't be able to do anything you want him to do because it's a fucking kid's game

i mean come on, WHY WOULD THEY HAVE YOU USE A SHOTGUN IN SMASH BROTHERS, THINK

Don't bring Snake because MGS isn't even close to being as violent, and in Brawl, he never used guns or any weapons that couldn't be waved off as "cartoony," like bazookas and mortars and shit. It works because intense, gory violence was never the important thing about MGS. The most violent thing he does in Brawl is the neck snap, which is honestly a little overboard and I wish they didn't put that in.

Don't bring up Bayonetta because she shouldn't be in the game either.

You need to work on not sounding incredibly condescending all the time. It's incredibly off-putting.

Grenade launcher was snake's final smash in brawl

What I want him to do is be in the game as a playable character and punch people off the screen, I'm not asking for stuff like the gif jono posted

He has cartoony or fictional guns like the BFG-9000, plasma gun, railgun, rocket launcher, etc.

I unironically think he would be a great fit and if he was put in I would giggle like a madman.

He's from an iconic series that shaped the fps genre, and video games as a whole. Plus Bethesda has been putting a lot of stuff on the switch recently.
GOTY every year if this happens

Ultimate would instantly become the best game ever and I would actually marry Sakurai
