Wait, I'm confused. I thought ISP's weren't being treated as a utility, and net neutrality won?

People actually watch that...?

It's Star Wars. I HAVE TO KEEP UP WITH THE NEW CANON.

Is the series any good or is it just some shinier, watered down version of clone wars?

It can be a bit kiddy for my tastes at times, not going to lie. However, there has been a considerable shift in tone recently. Tarkin showed up, immediately started kicking ass. Had a couple screw-ups decapitated.

I'm hopeful Kanan dies, or maybe the Inquisitor is killed by Vader for his failures. The latter seems less likely.

I always thought you were a comic book guy seeing as you have Rorschach as you avatar.

Watchmen's one of the few comics I've read. I really liked Rorschach, and he's probably one of my favorite fictional characters.

South Park.

Edit: I messed up and thought the question was "what TV shows have better character development than TWD?"

Vader should of force choked him again just for the hell of it, lel. Good issue though, also just got done reading Escalation #15. When is Star Wars #3 coming out?

March 11th I believe.
Thanks. It's always fun to listen to some Star Wars score while I read these.
Indeed, I've listened to the Imperial March more than I can count.

left the station before it was destroyed, and is rewarded for his foresight with a promotion

So he jumps ship during a critical battle...and gets promoted to second in command?
No, he left before the battle commenced. He thought the thing was a bad idea to begin with, and he was right.

Half the reason he's promoted is because Palpatone wants to screw with Vader

To be fair, if the guy had pressed the button like half a second sooner, they would have annihilated the rebel alliance. Tarkin was an arrogant asshole, but apparently the Death Star was a good enough idea that Palpatine had another one built.
I think Palpatine just thought that seeing as Tagge is more of a realist, he's their best bet for a high ranking military commander in the wake of the Death Star disaster. He's going to play smart given the Empire's slightly weakened state.

Half the reason he's promoted is because Palpatone wants to screw with Vader. And he isn't 2nd in command, he's just Vader's superior at the moment.

The Flood / My Review of Darth Vader #2
« on: February 25, 2015, 12:37:10 PM »
Today, the second issue of Marvel's Darth Vader comic book series released, and once again, I am impressed. I've never been a big comic book guy, but Marvel has me hooked. For the first time, I'm actually keeping up with comics.

This issue focused more on action than #1, but it set the stage for later developments. The issue focused primarily on the rather strained relationship between now-Grand General Tagge and Vader.

For those who don't know, here's a summary of the story so far:
Spoiler
Prior to and during the time of A New Hope, Vader isn't the Supreme Commander of The Imperial Fleet like he is in TESB, his limits are defined by Palpatine at any given point, explaining why Vader takes orders from Tarkin in ANH. Because of his failure to protect the Death Star, the Emperor has decided to punish Vader by making him even more subservient, having him take orders from now Grand General Tagge., who was opposed to the Death Star in the first place and left the station before it was destroyed, and is rewarded for his foresight with a promotion to the previously mentioned position. The comic series, essentially, is about how Vader rises to his position in TESB, and how he figures out Luke is his son.

Tagge is much less of a Romantic than Vader or Tarkin, and derides the amount of resources out into the Death Star, resources that could've been put to better use building Star Destroyers. Furthermore, as Tagge is now Vader's superior, he treats Vader in a way Vader quite clearly resents, having him perform tasks Vader deems quite menial, and even assigning him an adjutant to observe him and keep Tagge informed of his activities.

But, I'm giving too much away. Now, to the quality of the comic.

For the most part, it's fantastic. The dialogue is spot on, and the action scenes are done very well. The way Vader deals with his assigned observer is simultaneously funny and badass. My only complaint is the art, but only in certain panels and only in regards to one subject: Original Trilogy characters.

All the faceless, helmeted, or non-human characters look great, and the human characters not appearing in the movies look fine. It's just the likeness of actors that looks bad at times. In this issue it was just Tagge. He looks just as he does in the movie at times, but others it's just... Off. I think the lack of shading is one of the main problems, but I'm pretty sure that his face has been traced by the artist. Outside of this, the art and the comic as a whole is great.

Later, when I'm at my computer, I'll provide some images of some of the panels, as examples of what I've spoken of. However, I must recommend reading both issues released thus far, if you love Star Wars, you'll love this series.

I don't have many Star Wars collectibles anymore, just 2 really good ones hah.
General Grievous
Commander Fox

I had a whole bunch of the Star Wars lego when I was kid, but I sold it all a while ago. Just didn't have room for it all anymore hah.
Man, those are awesome.

The force is with you young Noelle, but you are not a Jedi yet.
Fuck the Jedi, I want to be a Sith Lord.

I've always been partial to the western gunslinger vibe surrounding Original Trilogy Boba Fett, so I'd have to go with bounty hunter.

Imperial Grand Admiral sounds good too, though.

Oh, and I'm quite excited, as I have a 6" scale Bandai Stormtrooper model kit arriving today. Incredibly screen accurate, and because one has to apply the decals oneself you don't have to deal with paint defects you otherwise wouldn't have control over.

I had loads of the stuff in your old collection, the problem is I never really thought of what I had as a collection, and much of it is lost. I do have some, however. Lately, as my love of Star Wars has been rekindled, I am now seeking to build up a collection over time.

My Black Series figures (thus far)

lmao nerd

The subreddits I visit aren't the bad part of reddit. Who Would Win is basically a debate forum involving fictional characters. Polandball is a bunch of funny webcomics involving countries.

And the Jedi Council Forum is a highly long-lived community, there are members who've been there since the late 90's.
Here's some ammo!

Much appreciated.

It's actually designed to rack the American viewer with enough guilt to make them become a weeb as apology.
Anybody that knows how Japan acted and the invasion would realize the bombs were the best bet. The invasion would have a death toll in the millions.

In my opinion, anime is just proof that two bombs wasn't enough.
