Patriotism is pretty stupid as well. You shouldn't have to owe anything to a country just because you were born in it. Nobody gets to choose which country they're born in.
Nothing wrong with supporting your country, it's culture and heritage.

Excellent action-packed issue this time around. So far, this series seems to be much more action-focused than the Darth Vader series, which is more focused on the internal political intrigue of the Empire, whereas this is more classic Star Wars, which I'm perfectly fine with. There was, of course, more than just chaotic action. With Star Wars #3, we see the end of the Cymoon arc, and a key point in the overall story of Star Wars, which also ties in nicely to Darth Vader #1, which I will elaborate on later on. Because the issue isn't too long, I'll just state my complaints and then get to what I found interesting. 1) How the artist draws Darth Vader's helmet and Stormtrooper helmets. They aren't too bad, but they aren't as nice as they are in the Darth Vader series, and sometimes they seem just off. 2) The sequence involving the escape from the weapons factory was downright confusing, and could have been fixed by simply adding a couple panels portraying Luke escaping to the Falcon and Vader and Overseer Aggadeen escaping the explosion. Now, to what I found interesting. Spoilers follow. Spoiler  Vader knows the boy is the one who blew up the Death Star.   This establishes the beginning of Vader's quest to find, and train, Luke (although he doesn't know his name, nor does he know he is his son, I imagine when he learns of this we'll see quite a terrible tantrum). As previously mentioned, this ties in with Darth Vader #1, as in that issue Vader hires Boba Fett to track down Luke, who Vader now knows is the pilot who destroyed the Death Star. This adds to the reader's understanding of Darth Vader #1, as at that time we were not aware that Vader sought to train the destroyer of the Death Star. Assorted things I found interesting and/or cool:  New Imperial vehicles! A cool speeder, which Vader later pilots, and what looks like an Imperial successor to the CIS AAT Vader taking down an AT-AT  Vader requisitioning a speeder  Vader being a badass again. Well, thus ends my review of Star Wars #3! Darth Vader #3 releases on March 25th, I'm even more excited for that one.
