It is. It's because they're basing the in-game model off of the actual props, which weren't completely symmetrical. In this case, they used the Return of The Jedi helmet. This is my major complaint. If it were an ANH or TESB helmet, it would look fine. But when they were making the ROTJ helmets, the mold collapsed, and thus all the stormtrooper helmets in that movie are even more asymmetrical, looking "squeezed" on one side.

Here's a comparison showing what I'm talking about.

Their decision to use the ROTJ helmet absolutely baffles me. The previous helmets looked much better. Furthermore, the grey and black "mouth-grill" of the ANH helmet looks much better and is far more iconic.

The other ones are Prequel Trilogy and The Clone Wars.

And I wouldn't really put the EU with OT, considering a good portion of it is during the Dark Times Era.

And all Legends is EU, but not all EU is Legends. People are starting to categorize them differently as such now.

I refer to canon content (outside movies) as being part of the New canon. EU is Legends. New material outside the movies isn't being referred to as EU anymore, and to avoid confusion I don't think anything canon should be called EU.

We've discussed Star Wars on here several times, and I like to think I've proven myself pretty well-read regarding Star Wars.

I know what is canon. I know Legends/EU isn't, but I'm pretty well versed in it (glad it's gone though). I know what PT and TCW stand for, I was making a joke.
I've been reading all the Marvel comics, and I've read several of the canon novels.

So while we wait for a new pic, what's your guys's favorite segments of the saga? Divide it up into PT, OT, Rebels, TCW, ST, EU, Legends.

For me it's:

TCW>PT>OT>Rebels>EU>Legends>ST

(I prefer OT story wise, but PT wins me over with how much it expands on the universe)

Still more story than Battlefield 4.

Battlefield 4 was probably one of, if not the, worst campaigns I've ever played. The writing was so damn awful.

I like that they adhere to ANH, and don't make Vader supreme commander of the fleet right off the bat. In ANH he wasn't as powerful as he is in TESB. Seeing Vader do some scheming on his own is really cool.

Seriously, you do know that "DICE's usual shill" is bad, right? Not trying to be super negative or rain on your parade but the last game with a good story was BC2 in 2010.

Story wise it's usually pretty shit (other than BC2, but that story was a fun little romp due to the characters, the plot itself was garbagio), however visual wise DICE campaigns are very pretty.

Indeed. What I'm saying is, even if it is Star Wars the multiplayer in all likelihood is going to be the reason to play it.

Why the hype for a pre-rendered model?

Look at the tubing connecting the filters or whatever to the backpack. Look at the spacetrooper figure being sold at Celebration, where BF is being revealed. This points to space combat making a definite return, possibly with the addition of zero-g infantry boarding actions.

I just want the mlg quickscoper Scout Troopers and I will be happy

I'd like this too, but we all know a scout trooper would get taken out by the physical embodiment of The Force before getting the chance to become truly MLG.

I think space battles just got confirmed. Those troopers would be the marines in Battlefront 2 for space battles.

Imperial Marines was my first thought. The presence of additional gear makes me think that infantry may have more of a role in the space battles now. I really hope we have zero-g infantry combat in some form.
