That's a shame. I'd argue there's no real point in not believing. I'm sorry your faith has been shaken in some way.

You're in my prayers.

I find it interesting that Luke isn't on the poster.
It's possible it's some relic from the KotOR era.

dope
It's possible. While KoTOR itself isn't currently stated to be canon it's likely they'll bring back elements of it into canon. Plus in an unreleased (but canon) episode of TCW Yoda alludes to a bunch of superweapons being built thousands of years before the Clone Wars, so it's very possible that's the origin of the weapon, and the First Order simply found it.
A lot of people say it's not canon. Well they are right, but it doesn't mean they can use something from it (thus making it canon again), which is basically my point when discussing it.

Yeah that's what I'm saying. They're bringing back a lot of the better elements of the old EU, and given how popular KotOR is I wouldn't be surprised if many elements of it are brought back into canon.

Actually, the surface of that thing looks different. Like they cut a planet in half and stuck a weapon inside of it.

It is. See my reply to Big Boss earlier in the thread.

...

I'm worried.

The prequels focused on flashy lightsaber fights and over the top CGI battles instead of plot or character development. I had hopes that they wouldn't do that again

I wouldn't be worried. I think Abrams and the people working on the film know very well the problems of the prequels. I think Abrams knows what makes the OT great.

I stand for Christianity and the values it espouses. As a socio-cultural conservative, I stand for conservative social values and the preservation of the cultural distinctions that distinguish the various cultures of the world. I am wholly opposes to globalization and the erosion of cultural distinctions that add substance to human society as a whole.

I stand for a German state that is militarily and economically self-sufficient, with a patriotic society that continues to stand by and preserve it's Christian faith, which has been so central to the German identity for over a thousand years.

Is

Is that another Death Star?

It's "Starkiller Base." See my reply to Big Boss in this thread.

Honestly I'm disappointed that they're going with another superweapon but it won't ruin the movie for me. As long as it has a decent story, good acting, and captures the Star Wars feel then I'm good.

Nonetheless I am somewhat miffed they went that route. In the eyes of myself and many others the best Star Wars movie is The Empire Strikes Back, which doesn't have a superweapon as part of the story.

Luke is definitely going to be the big reveal during the movie, they're not going to show him in the promotional material.

The Death Star-esque thing is Starkiller base. It's a planet that has been hollowed out around the equator.
Given that the First Order is supposed to be a radical splinter group modellig themselves after the Empire, I doubt they have the resources to accomplish such a feat. This makes me think that the superweapon may in fact be a lot older than the First Order. It's possible it's some relic from the KotOR era.

I felt the same way when I graduated. I was fine after orientation week in university.

What are your plans after graduating?

I don't know where I'm going to college yet, but I know I'm going to major in history, and hope to become a history teacher, actually.

This year is my senior year of high school, and I'm not looking forward to leaving whatsoever. At this point, my school is where I feel most at home. The comforting repetition of the schedule and seeing the same faces every day; I enjoy it. I don't want to leave, but I know it has to happen. Worst of all is the thought of never seeing my teachers again. I consider many of them  some of my best friends, as pitiful as that sounds.

I know that life has to go on, but as someone who hates change I can't say I'm looking forward to it.

It's literally about TV
I know, but Bradbury is being a fucking puritan when he insists it's only relevant to that theme. Of course TV takes a role--it's the thing taking up so many people's time--but it's ridiculous to deny the undercurrent of self-censorship in the book; books are burned literally because they promote dissenting/uncomfortable thought, the whole situation came about (as Montag is told by the fire chief) because people's emotions were placed as paramount, and anything that upset anybody was immediately suppressed.

Yeah, my personal interpretation is that it's about censorship but as Megaten said Bradbury was really weird about that.

I'd recommend Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. One of my favorite books, and basically sums up the direction society is going in, at least in my opinion.

I always like to even it out as much as I can, for a variety of reasons. First of all--I don't really know what any of these stats are for right now, so I don't want to invest in something that I may end up regretting later. Second, I hate committing to just one or two things. Third, even though none of the stats are high, none of them are low, either. This gives me a solid foundation, I think. I'm sure it doesn't matter a whole lot anyway.

I forgot how bizarre this game's control scheme was.

>triangle to jump
>R3 to pick shit up

You can increase your SPECIAL stats through a perk (I think it's called Extra Training, something involving "Training" anyway). But seeing as the base game has a level cap of 20 it's a decision between raising your SPECIAL stats and getting a perk, many of which are very useful.

On the subject of SPECIAL, Bethesda has released a bunch of little cartoons in preparation for Fallout 4's release. Obviously not that relevant to your playthrough, as you're playing F3, but they're rather entertaining in my opinion. Here's the playlist, Luck should be releasing next week.

Extradimensional shapeshifters characterized by their large proboscises arrive at Earth by entering this universe from a wormhole near Sagittarius A*. However, their arrival and subsequent integration goes by unnoticed thanks to their shapeshifting abilities.

They will have control of most of the money in the world by page 40.

A war is coming... a war that will tear apart reality itself...

The war between...

The Jewish Shapeshifter Dimension and The Mecha-Hitler Nazi Germany Dimension

Mass Effect 3. I got to the part where you first step foot onto the citadel and meet the reporter lady (I think that's what she was, can't remember), and I haven't played it since. The game just didn't grab me like 1 & 2 did.

I have actually beat ODST a couple times but I never got around to completing it on Legendary, even though I'm on the last level.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

GTA V. I was actually near the end of the story, but never picked the single player aspect up again. I actually sold it a couple weeks ago, so I probably never will get a chance to finish it. Doesn't bother me, the money enabled me to buy Fallout 4 anyway.

If you're against affirmative action, you either don't understand how it works (ignorance) or you seek to perpetuate the status quo of inequality (racism). In my opinion.

Austria, having been surveying the irradiated remains of Europe since the nuclear fallout, determines that areas of central and western Europe will once again be habitable within around one to two years.
uhhh....
Let's keep it that way for a while longer.
Ten more at the least imo.

We're talking Fat Man and Little Boy nukes. Class had just got them, and seeing as he didn't have any nuclear reactors the radiation shouldn't last a long time like Chernobyl.

West and Central Europe, a good ways away from the blasts which were caused by nukes that aren't anywhere near as powerful as today's nukes? One year.
Nah.
If anything I want this to be a "Public Event" of sorts.
I just want to play with Europe cut off for a devade or so and see what happens.

Basically what I'm saying is there's no reason why Spain and France should be uninhabitable.

I want to get one. I was thinking about getting a spider on my right arm and a chameleon on my left shoulder. I'm just scared that I'm going to regret them later.

If you get either of those you sure as hell will.
For any particular reason, or are you just one of those people that hate tattoos?
Those sound like rather feminine tattoos.

Man, I remember when this game was years out, and getting fooled by the survivor 2299 hoax. And now it has less than a year away. It's been the only real game I have been hyped for in years. And it comes out in less than a month :')
It's funny that six or seven months ago, if someone had said Fallout 4 was releasing in November probably none of us would have believed them.

Also, of the nukes detonated within Ukraine why is Kazakhstan irradiated? I'd say it's far enough away. I also feel that Spain, and Portugal should be in the clear.
