Sweden used to be powerful once.

That was before they outlawed heterosexuality.

One of the few toys I have from my early childhood that I still have is my Woody toy. It has a fabric body, stuffed with beads, and the plastic head actually looks a lot better than most Woody toys you see.

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying I think it's dumb.

It is. Lucas fucked up his own creation. Yoda and Palpatine should be so strong that they never even have to pull out a lightsaber, or even move around to fight. We see a little bit of that in RotJ with Palpatine's 'battle meditation' or whatever is canon now; he can win huge battles from the comfort of his throne room just by willing it to happen.

I agree for the most part, but I will say I always thought the "battle meditation" thing was kind of silly.

It's not canon anymore.

I am Steve Carrell in some kind of stasis, and I communicate with other via my voice being projected with a still image of my face, wearing a Christmas hat.

I side with Fedorekd, because plot armor, the people with Fallout avatars, and Midget because Christmas Shepard is the best thing I've ever seen.

Narcos is okay. It would be much better rif they didn't needlessly force nudity and extreme sexual content into every episode.

Why not both? God you guys are insufferable

One is made by a pair of directors that released the arguably better Marvel film, The Winter Soldier.

The other is being looked at with a curious stare, with people wondering, "How will they fuck this up?"
Yeah. Honestly I hated MoS, and don't have my hopes up for BvS. However, I will say that given what we've seen, I'm liking Batfleck a lot so far.

I love the game, but I played so much it's gotten rather dull. I'm going to take an extended break from the game, which is going to help my academic performance that's for sure. I'll probably pick it back up in a few weeks, or when the first DLC releases, but for now I'm done. That said, it's definitely my favorite game of the year and on PlayStation 4.

The Flood / Re: Batman V Superman or Civil War
« on: December 01, 2015, 09:35:21 PM »
I feel Civil War will be limited by the fact that the licenses to some major Marvel franchises are held by other companies; they won't be able to portray a conflict as grand in scale as one involving all the Marvel properties. I don't even read superhero comics, but a civil war involving all the major Marvel superheroes and superhero teams sounds really cool. The movie looks like it just adds a couple characters (Black Panther, Spiderman, and one or two others).

Should be called Captain America: Civil Skirmish

Granted, I'm not saying the movie's gonna be bad, but I think this is when Marvel's really suffering from those lost licenses.

Is Verb being a contrarian for the sake of being one.

When is he not?

I watched the Luke vs Vader ROTJ fight again.

I was wondering, at what point does he start to feel for his son and think 'man, fuck Palpy.'

When they are wailing away at eachother and Vader is spouting all that crap about Luke underestimating the Dark Side, did he begin to doubt the Emperor, and he was just saying all that to try and convince himself?
See, that's one of my issues with RoTJ. Vader goes from confident,  straight up badass planning to overthrow the Emperor to being plagued with self-doubt and, well, mopey. They basically drop the Vader coup plot altogether.

Nick Valentine's companion quest was great

I especially liked the sarcastic speech option when you meet the certain person

Yeah that quest was awesome. On the subject of the sarcastic dialogue choice, I usually never choose the sarcastic option, but that time I felt it was fitting and oh man, that was a real treat. Shame my PS4 wasn't recording, so it didn't record my character saying the line in full Silver Shroud garb.

The new dialogue system isn't good for determining the exact tone in situations, but one thing I definitely like about it is how it surprises you with legitimately funny lines.

For those who haven't seen it, the line in question:

I love being the Silver Shroud

What I loved was making Kent Connelly happy. I always play the good guy in Fallout but this instance in particular brought a smile to my face.
