I guess Director Krennic was pretty entertaining when he threw a fucking tantrum and went to Darth Vader to complain about it lol

I read the Catalyst prequel novel (really good btw, recommend it), so that definitely influences my thoughts, but I think Krennic is a very interesting character. He's interesting because he's intelligent, cunning, and competent, but to a point.

His reckless disregard for the chain of command, and his other flaws are what make him interesting.
Having only seen the film, to me Krennic is just a lameo incompetent whiner who gets a bunch of his potential screen time stolen by should-be-cameo villains Tarkin and Vader

Perhaps I should have worded my post differently. He's not necessarily incompetent at what he's good at doing, but he has an overinflated sense of importance, and thinks he's more competent than he really is as it applies to things outside of his talents. I wasn't implying he's amazingly competent or anything.

Here's a good example. Krennic is good at manipulating people, especially on a personal level. An excellent example of this is Galen Erso. However, just because he can manipulate less powerful people and easily manipulated people he knows doesn't mean he can manipulate Tarkin.

Krennic thinks he could though.

Oh a warhammer black market dealer huh

I got masterpiece Soundwave & his Cassetticons in a bundle for cheap, while all the suckers that bought straight from Japan as they came out paid about 4 times as much.

Spoiler

Awesome! Soundwave is one of my favorite transformers, and I had always thought the masterpiece toy was really cool

I thought tabletop games were convoluted pieces of garbage until I realized that there were games that weren't W40k.
Okay?
I am more looking to paint it than play with it.

They're basically tiny washing machines of pure hatred and rage that are on a mission to destroy the universe

So there are these... let's say entrepreneurs in the good ol' People's Republic that are willing to provide copies of Forge World products at a substantial discount.

Thing is, they can be hard to contact. They discourage spreading their contact info around the web. I've been looking for some of their contact info for quite a while, to no avail.

... Until today.

Spoiler
Basically I got a roughly $100
Leviathan Siege Dreadnought
for $20.

So it's been revealed why the Empire falls within a year: the Emperor wanted it to.

As a final "fuck you" to the Galaxy, the Emperor had a contingency plan put into place that would eventually result in the empire collapsing. In Palpatine's eyes, if he died then the empire had failed to protect its emperor and thus the organization should not be allowed to exist any longer. The empire was unworthy and should be destroyed.

Jakku was designed to be it's final moment.

Just a few more details left.

Spoiler
Spoiler

Need to finish the shield, sword, and backpack icon.

For the sword, I need to paint the pommel and guard gold, and highlight the blade.

For the shield, I need to apply a black wash to make it worn, then paint the eagle gold and finish the scrollwork.

For the backpack icon, I need to clean up the area around the bones, then apply a brown wash to them. Then, I will go over the bones with an off-white (a color called Bone-white, actually) with the exception of the areas where the brown shade has settled most, and then highlight the sharpest corners, like the eye sockets, with a very light off-white.

If that's the case, then allow me to simply adjust my stance: Only America makes good anime.

He's differentiating western anime with generic cartoons. Which is why he agrees Spongebob isn't anime in the general sense.

how about when he said that anime weren't cartoons

Woah that's totally fucking wrong. Spongebob is second only to Cory In The House as far as animes are concerned.

This was taken a while ago, but it struck me how bad it was.

I hadn't expected her to take it so quickly, so she caught me unawares. I was also overdue for a haircut.

Look at that thousand yard stare... I look as though I have just been forced to watch an entire season of anime.

New Star Wars Trailer?

I think he's talking about the wave of reactions to the second TFA teaser.

The Flood / Re: Reaction videos are cancer
« on: February 21, 2017, 11:46:16 AM »
The TFA trailer reaction videos were so fucking awful.

What was really pathetic was the people fucking crying over the trailer. Star Wars is my favorite universe and franchise ever and I didn't have tears of joy/nostalgia. Granted, most were probably faking it, but it's pathetic regardless of whether or not the tears were fake.

My parents didn't influence my musical tastes; I developed then on my own.

My musical tastes are rather varied, but on average I would say no. I doubt my parents would enjoy Rammstein. They would probably enjoy the 80's hits I listen to though.

As a general rule, Cali only sucks if you're living there and like firearms or knives in a hobbying interest.
The geography of the state is cool as shit, being right in between a very large mountain range and the coastline with a lot of varying elevations, contrastable to states on the east coast, such as Jersey or the eastern end of VA, or the Carolinas, where they're largely flat from the coast until you hit Appalachia.
A quick google search tells me you'll be at the foothills of the San Gabriel mountains, which is a cool as shit location for outdoorsman stuff.

Alright. Thanks Das, this was helpful
