Of all things you nitpick that? Really? Not to mention the fact that he also seemed to be the lone, unconcious survivor in a hospital filled w/ zombies after a quarantine cleansing simply because Shane put a gurney in the doorway. That he managed to walk through a zombie infested town after waking up through a coma w/ almost no issues.
The last thing anyone viewing this show should be worried about is feasibility.,
plot demanded he survived, its whatever. plot armor too stronk from a narrative standpoint, in the TV show using that 1 season and it wasnt even the whole season either more like 4 episodes or so, to find his family was silly. maybe that was longer in the comics and didnt translate over well? the first few, 'shit im solo-ing the zombie apocalypse' were definitely my favorites.

Also the way they described the moon was you would be dropped in and literally have to search and find the enemy hideouts like you're a detective. Instead we got linear bullshit telling us where to go.
pyramid-enemy race is nowhere to be found, either. or the 'dead forests of Mars'.
The factions were also completely cut, they were a big part of Destiny's ARG and one of the things I actually looked forward to.
