its easier to learn than snowboarding.
I've actually heard the opposite from some people who do both.
snowboarding is harder to learn, but easier to master because there are 2 basic moves and you just connect those two moves and you carve down the mountain. skiing is easier to learn, but harder to master because of your two skiis and the different ways you can go down the mountain. pizza, french fry then you learn the side to side thing. thats how its been explained to me, i dont skii.

im excited for you. i cant imagine never seeing snow. ive got a friend in LA that has never seen snow either and it blows my mind every christmas.
skiing should be fun for you. its easier to learn then snowboarding. you'll probably still be black and blue by the end of the day. how long are you going to be there?
I don't mind, I'm tough. I keep trying to imagine the smell of snow, it's silly, but I think I almost have it... like standing inside a freezer. A really nice, open freezer.
I'm not sure how long we'll be there... long enough I think. Usually I need some motivation or plan to go outside when I'm on holiday but I'm going to be outside the whole time this time. Even at night and all the time.... you get the picture. And then I'm going skydiving later. I'm scared of heights so I've started shitting myself in advance for that one.
gah. i had the chance to go skydiving but didnt have the cash at the time. T-T i will regret that for a long time.
