Yes. There's the second analog stick which means you don't have to get that retarded attachment for games that uses it. And there are going to be games that are only for that version. For example Xenoblade Chronicles is coming out for that version but not the current 3DS models.

That's why you don't pick up next gen consoles early into their life cycles. You should usually wait a couple years before jumping in.

I'm thinking about doing it. It's looking like it might be replacing the old 3DS XL, plus it's going to be getting extra features and exclusive games that the old XL wont get.

I ran into Gamestop a bit ago, and the cashier told me that they were accepting 'older' 3DS XL for $100 credit towards the newer XL.
Ive got a couple of 3DS games, but I cant exactly say I play it often.
