Gaming / Re: Platinum games and exclusivity
« on: June 19, 2015, 05:56:49 PM »
They probably make more going with exclusivity. I'd assume at least since that's the only way it makes sense. Probably couldn't afford to make all these games on their own for each system. Doubt the third party publishers would be willing to provide as much as the console owners would.

What you expect them to cut creepy puppet time?

It's certainly an interesting phenomenon, but it suffers from burnout which makes it a bit of an unreliable anti-insomnia tool <.<

So do any of you chaps also get burnout from it? (As in it stops working completely for a while) and/or how do you avoid this/sort it? >_>
Not really. I never get the tingles people describe, but it usually puts me out pretty efficiently and consistently.

Use it quite a bit to combat the insomnia. Would agree it has to be a woman tho.
For some reason the ear cleaning ones are amazing. Especially with headphones. That and getting a shave.

It definitely sounds weird just talking about it, but it works. So eh.

Gaming / Re: Verb's waifu continues to proudly display her hippocracy
« on: June 18, 2015, 02:46:48 AM »
She's just hounding big titles for attention, and by proxy money.
Her own people are starting to turn on her on twitter.

They really overplayed their hand during e3.
See, I mean, I don't even see anything wrong with that card.

But does that take anything away from what she's said in the past?
Does it mean there's still not a kernel of truth with what she's been expressing?

No.
I think at its core her message has some level of truth. Which is why its found the audience it has. A lot of main characters are 30 yr old straight white dudes. Many female characters have catered to males instead of females. I think diversity is a good thing for video games as it'll create more interesting stories, characters and perspectives.

If that was the whole of her message we'd be in agreement, but her continued misrepresentation of games like Hitman, and purtianical contradicting standards when it comes to women and violence are offputting to even the people on her side.

Her and Josh should not be the people to champion that idea. Going by their kickstarter history its clear they are in this for the cash. This is why nothing will ever be good enough for Anita. Because she has to continue to be outraged in order to make hundreds of thousands each year. This is why she will continue to be pushed to more and more extreme positions. Thankfully they seem to be losing support rather quickly.

Ramadan Kareem btw ;)

I remember something about a murderer. Either a mystery or your trying to track down a killer that is blaming you. Something like that.

One of the few Ubi games that grabbed my attention. Looks like it'd be neat for sep7 tournaments.

Supposedly this is 3months of work on screen. Which is hard to believe, but amazing if true.

Looks fun, Just the music is kinda annoying... Was that just the video?
hehe music was the only thing I kinda liked. Not much of a platformer. Assuming that's the game music. Sounds like a banjo/kiddie platformer type beat.
You and Tru should kill yourselves
:P Just not my type of game. Didn't play many platformers as a kid. Looks quality tho.

Know there are some people here excited about this game. Stumbled upon this so figured I'd post it.
Definitely has an oldschool vibe to it. Alpha build.

so it's obviously an indie game if it'll be a demo at pax prime this year
Kinda given away by the fact that they announce in a igda vid.

Open world jrpg fantasy game with scifi elements, and a fps multiplayer where you shoot animes in the face.
Story driven. Well written characters. High quality graphics. Pretty art style.

Does anyone honestly want full digital?...
Right now, no.
Games need to be optimized so they aren't stupidly big, or HDDs/SSDs need to be cheaper.

Preferably both.
Digital pricing is also a big thing holding things back. Once platforms have a user base locked down they'll be less likely to give sales than amazon or a shop would.

But eventually we'll make the jump. Within 2-3 gens we'll probably be ditching physical consoles as well.

Also they won't be making games about shooting aliens according to their Twitter.
it'll be about shooting zombies, then

#innovationisdead
Hopefully its about shooting superheroes.

I was never a fan of the term, but yes. That's like asking if winking or giving a thumbs up is still a thing. It's a common gesture, and an involuntary one, at that.
Much like boob jiggles.
