'Guilty pleasure' implies what I like is bad or wrong, and we know that's just not possible.
So I guess I don't have any.

Gaming / Re: Can Nintendo come out on top?
« on: November 28, 2014, 10:29:09 PM »
Nintendo will always be on the bottom. The WiiU is on par with the Xbox 360 and PS3, that is pathetic.
Hardware doesn't automatically mean good games you know (the PS4 and Xbone are underpowered too, by the way).
The PS2 was the weakest console of the 6th gen, and look how that turned out. It ended up being the best selling console to date with a plethora of great games.

Plus Nintendo aren't even competing with Sony and MS for the mainstream market, so they're not at the bottom of anything.
dat avatar tho.

So blocking traffic is justified in your mind then?

In SoCal rush hour? Probably not?

As they did in Times Square, or other major cities this week? You're damn right.

Are people who have to feed their children or help patients required to care about the protesters cause?

Being so narrow minded continues the problem.
I guarantee none of the people they impeded are sympathetic to their cause now.
Its not narrow minded to need to put food on the table. Or staff a hospital.

Seriously. Are we arguing because people, be it poorly, planned a protest to try and fix an arguably broken system?

Yes. They planned it poorly. Yet, these people are doing something millions of others are too damn lazy to do - protest.
People have day to day lives. Its not lazy to go to your job. Not everyone can afford to spend their day yelling in the street.

These people are by no means heroic, and are by no means helping their cause at all. But meh. I'll leave it at agree to disagree.

If they want their cause to be taken seriously they shouldn't act like assholes. Seems pretty simple.

As I said earlier - American's don't give a flying fuck about protests unless they directly affect us/impedes in our daily lives. If there's just a protest we see as we drive by, we don't give a fuck as a country.

lol @ people supporting these protesters.

Yeah, fuck people trying to make a much needed change
...by preventing nurses from getting to their jobs.

Yes, it's fucked up that they did that.

That doesn't mean the protester's cause, police corruption and problems, simply gets tossed aside like a joke.
Who said it does? They're assholes for blocking the road. Period.

Yea. This has been known for a while.
Doesn't help that many of their officials are essentially smuggling millions out of the country.

I get the feeling they're in a bubble. Eventually that bubble will burst. The people put up with the govt since it means growth, but once that growth stops they'll have domestic problems. From there its either liberalization or crackdown.

Serious / Re: Video of 12 year old shot (NSFW)
« on: November 27, 2014, 10:53:09 PM »
Yea that's pretty shitty. Deadly force is suppose to be a last resort. You're not even suppose to point your gun at a person unless you've gone down the check list, and have no choice but to kill.

There was no time there for the cop to give him instructions, or for him to comply. You don't just roll up and start firing before assessing a situation.

Really wish people would stop trying to bring their politics into these types of things, or connect the various shootings as if they were all the same thing. They're all separate situations. If there is evidence of wrong doing on the officers part then he should face justice. If there is no evidence then he should not. Its as simple as that.

Hyper LIght Drifter when it comes out.
Transistor if you haven't played it yet.
As someone who is  Fanboy of SG Games I'd say play Bastion first, Transistor has better gameplay but overall I feel Bastion was better.
Never played Bastion, but I hear its good.
Loved Transistor. Probably honorable mention for my goty.

Either way SuperGiant Games are top tier indie devs.

You should be using DuckDuckGo anyways.
Dark theme + built in WoT + no tracking.

Gaming / Re: Did anyone else play The Crew beta?
« on: November 27, 2014, 10:14:51 PM »
I'd suggest everyone wait on the crew. Ubisoft is sending out review copies the day before release, and won't turn on servers until the day of release. Meaning no one is going to be able to review the game until its out in the wild.

Same as they did with AC: Unity to hide all of its problems.

Progressivism   70

Your test scores indicate that you are a tough-minded progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a liberated atheist. It appears that you are distrustful towards religion, and have an indifferent and uncompassionate attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear capitalist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a libertarian.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a sensible radical egalitarian with many strong convictions.
