Was gonna wait and make this thread a bit later, but I guess there really isn't a point. Basically gonna take a indefinite break from sep7 here. Kinda eh on the new rule, but I also have some irl stuff to deal with. Just becoming less and less of an enjoyable thing to juggle right now. Not too big of a deal I guess. Figured I'd make a thread because I didn't want to storm off like a couple of other users have. Feel like I like the majority of people here, and Cheat and Isara have really designed a good site. Wanted to hit Unstoppable! before I stopped cuz I find that funny I'll still be around in the skype chat, and will probably pop up for teh animu streams. Outside of that psn and miiverse are always there for the gaming folks. Its been fun.

- Game hubs – New in preview this month, game hubs are the go-to centers for all sorts of interesting content around your favorite games. Every Xbox One game will have a game hub where you can see which of your friends are playing the game, compete with your friends in game leaderboards, dive into the coolest game clips and game broadcasts, and follow the game’s VIPs and top players. To get to the game hub for your favorite game, find a game in your pins, recently played list, or My games and apps, then press the Menu button and select View game hub. You can also search for any game in the Xbox Store and click on the game hub tile from the game’s store page. - Custom backgrounds and tile transparency – We listened to your feedback and added additional tile transparency to the Home tiles to make your background images more visible. As a reminder, to set a custom background, go to Settings > My Xbox > My background. Note: some items can’t be made transparent due to usage rights/restrictions for certain images.
- TV updates – We’re releasing a lot of updates to the live TV experience and features are being released to additional countries in preview this month:
- OneGuide for the Netherlands – Support for OneGuide will continue in preview for the Netherlands and the missing channels for the Netherlands OneGuide listings will become available over the next few weeks.
- TV trending in OneGuide – As you scan the detailed OneGuide TV listings, you can see which shows are trending by a “Trending on Xbox” note and associated icon. Xbox – live TV trending is based on the number of Xbox One owners currently watching that show in each country, pulled from anonymous data collected at a national level. Currently, Xbox TV trending is available to all members in the U.S., UK and Canada.
- Live TV trending (new countries) – France, Germany, Brazil and Mexico will begin seeing live TV trending data in Xbox OneGuide.
- Improved control of TVs, set-top boxes and audio/video receivers – Xbox One will work even better with more devices. This month’s preview release contains updates to the IR blasting database for new models and addresses issues reported by our fan community.
- “Trick play” with Xbox One Digital TV Tuner – Preview members with the Xbox One Digital TV Tuner in supported countries (UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain) will now be able to see video frames when fast-forwarding or rewinding paused TV on your Xbox One consoles.
- Live TV streaming on Windows Phone and Android – We are continuing the preview of live TV streaming on Windows Phone and Android devices for Xbox One Digital TV Tuner owners in the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

http://nichegamer.net/2015/01/nintendo-leaves-brazil/Nintendo is leaving the Brazilian market, giving the local business environment as its reason. This month, the publisher and hardware giant will cease distribution of all of its products, software and hardware, in the country.
Brazil has high import taxes, especially on foreign technological goods, which Nintendo could circumvent by manufacturing its products in the country, but that’s not the only problem that the company faces. UOL Jogos, a Brazilian gaming outlet, claims Nintendo had distribution problems in the region, and that eShop sales were hampered by local banking regulations, which prevent the use of certain bank cards with storefronts that list prices in local currency but charge in US dollars. I knew shit was expensive down there, but damn.

Or do I not know what its used for?
Have my alert settings set to alert me when a new reply is posted in a thread I've posted in. Except when I hit unnotify (to stop receiving notifications from that thread) they keep coming. Likewise if I haven't posted in a thread, and I hit notify, I won't receive any notifications.
Or is it just over-ridden by my alert settings?

Doing a 7 day free trial next week. In case you were interested in grabbing some free games. Thinking I might play Saints Row IV that way.

https://twitter.com/notaxation/status/552147924948643840Kinda big news if you are familiar with the podcast beyond stuff (which they'll still be doing as freelancers). IGN just lost a big chunk of their playstation division. Sounds like they're doing their own youtube/patreon thing. Makes me wonder just how much of a strain sites like Youtube and Twitch are putting on traditional gaming news outlets.

I've always heard good things about it. Now that D5 is coming to PS4 in the west this fall I'm wondering if it might be a good time jump in, or if I should check out an earlier game in the series first. Looks like similar gameplay to the FF Tactics/Fire Emblem series which I love. I'll be about due for a tactical/strategy rpg by then. Bit more animu in style, but I'm ok with that.

We will destroy The Flood, then when it is done and The Flood is ashes, then you have my permission to logout. We take Sep7agon from the corrupt! The rich! The oppressors of generations who have kept you down with myths of opportunity, and we give it back to you... the people. Sep7agon is yours. None shall interfere. Do as you please. Start by storming Serious, and freeing the oppressed! Step forward those who would serve. For an army will be raised. The powerful will be ripped from their decadent nests, and cast out into the cold world that we know and endure. Courts will be convened. Spoils will be enjoyed. Blood will be shed. The Ninjas will survive, as they learn to serve true justice. This great city... it will endure. Sep7agon will survive!

Been out of teh anime loop for awhile. Looking for a series to watch, but I have no idea what to start off with. Preferably something reasonably short. A handful of seasons at most.
I was into stuff like Samurai Champloo, DeathNote, Ghibli stuffs, DragonBall, etc.. Serious or comedy works.
So far I've heard good things about Cowboy Dandy. Attack on Titan gets a lot of buzz, but I've heard mixed reviews there.
