The iconic system has been used in the Fire Emblem series since 1996, however now we’re seeing it finally get a revamp. Instead of the usual swords > axes > lances, it’s now sword and magic > axe and bow > lances and concealed weapons. If you’re unfamiliar with the system, it’s a triangular system of balance, with no one weapon being the definitive winner in battle.
We also know that weapons no longer have durability in the game, however this changes things up as the stronger the weapon against an opponent, the greater its disadvantages will be for that particular unit. Let’s say that a sword has more attack but a debuff to your evasion, making it harder to do a pursuit attack – you can expect more things like this. Staves are the only weapon to restrict the number of times they can be used. http://nichegamer.com/2015/05/fire-emblem-if-changes-up-the-weapon-triangle-system/Interdasting... Nice to change things up I suppose. Will take some getting use to.

Just got the Wolf Among Us plat. Really enjoyed it. I'd tried the Walking Dead on 360 but just couldn't get into it. Zombie fatigue. Seen some of GoT, but it didn't grab me either, and I don't really care for Borderlands. I'm a sucker for noir though. Hyped for season 2. Might even be willing to pay full price this time. Just hope this series doesn't get shafted with all the other stuff they're picking up. Don't expect Minecraft or Jurassic Park to interest me, so it looks like I'm sticking to just Wolf Among Us.
So what are your opinions on telltale games? I know they get a lot of hate for being 'muh movie games'. Got a favorite series?

[trigger warning: Huffpo and MSNBC] http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/05/06/bernie-sanders-campaign_n_7224630.html?1430935196Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is hiring a crew of former aides to President Barack Obama to help propel his recently launched presidential campaign.
Coming on the heels of a highly successful campaign launch, after which Sanders raised $3 million in four days, the announcement is an indication that Sanders, a self-described socialist, won’t be confined simply to a long-shot role in the Democratic primary.
The independent senator, who is running for president as a Democrat, has hired the firm Revolution Messaging to run digital ads and online fundraising. The staffers with the firm who will be working on Sanders’ campaign include Revolution Messaging’s founder, Scott Goodstein, who ran the 2008 Obama campaign's social media and mobile programs; Arun Chaudhary, who was the first official White House videographer; Shauna Daly, who served as deputy research director on Obama’s 2008 campaign; and Walker Hamilton, who was a lead programmer for that campaign. For perspective he raised more in the first 24hrs than Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, or Ted Cruz. Only candidate not running with a super pac. Meaning he is not being funded by anonymous major corporations or billionaires (ala Ted Cruz being funded by Robert Mercer, who owes the IRS billions, and coincidentally Ted Cruz now wants to disband the IRS) The more I hear from Sanders the more I'm starting to really like him. Media has been writing him off under the assumption that he can't beat Hilary but I'm thinking he's going to give her a good run for her money.

http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/us/elections/2016-presidential-candidates.html?_r=0Really kind of a meh list for me. I tend to align with Obama on most issues. Been a registered Dem since I turned 18. Fairly moderate. Probably most closely aligned to Hilary out of this group, but really don't care for her and would prefer to avoid another Clinton/Bush. Dynasties shouldn't be a thing. Sanders is bit more to the left than I am. Though I do tend to admire his consistency and agree with him on a number of issues. Frankly just don't think he has the personality to build a winning coalition tbh. Not to mention the amount of gridlock that would result from an actual socialist president and a conservative congress. Will be interesting watching the dem primary debates though. On the Republican side Rand Paul is the only sane option of the announced three as far as I'm concerned. Even then he holds meh views on net neutrality, global warming, etc. He's fairly libertarian as far as the conservatives go though. Pushing for Republicans to let up on gay marriage, legalization of pot, etc. Rubio is your standard conservative which just doesn't click with me on a number of fronts, and Ted Cruz is insane. Haven't read up too much on the other potentials at this point. Just wondering what the rest of your thoughts are.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/04/28/big-changes-coming-to-final-fantasy-15-following-feedback?utm_campaign=ign+main+twitter&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=socialTabata acknowledged the game's controls received the lowest score, with the camera, lock-on and a general feeling of chaos in combat all coming under scrutiny. He's acknowledged this and has promised the team are "thoroughly" addressing it. Tabata also promised your team's AI would be bumped up, while a minimap and difficulty option will be added.
As for complaints about performance, the director explained the demo didn't have anti-aliasing, while the finished game will have. Similarly, frame rate optimisation will be an absolute priority going further, and everyone feels frame rate is more important than resolution. Controls, camera, lock on, and team AI are getting worked on. Huzzah.

Can anybody think of any? Not really an area I've gotten into. With good reason.
Recently tried Monument Valley and Chain Chronicle tho, and have enjoyed them. Have to figure there are some other quality non-annoying games out there that I can slap on my phone for time wasters.

The html YouTube code to embed vids doesn't accept mobile links which makes it a massive pain to try and embed a video on a phone or tablet. Especially since chrome now won't take me to the desktop site to get a workable link.
Probably not top priority. But is there any way we could get a work around so it stops saying invalid link for mobile links?

So a while back during the launch of bayonetta 2 ninty did a playboy photo shoot to promote the game. Kinda one of those weird things that made everyone do a double take. Seemed pretty one timey considering the nature of bayonetta, until this happened: http://www.playboy.com/videos/gamer-next-door-splatoonNot sure I understand the logic behind this little partnership, but you gotta admire ninty's balls to do something like this at a time when the politically correct bug is going around.

Feeling pretty good about the game. Has a few negatives. Combat takes some getting used to. I'm a fan of the turned based games so this was a bit of a change. The camera needs some works. Very easy to lose faster enemies in combat, or get caught on allies in smaller spaces. Can get frantic and frustrating at times when you're still learning the flow and your team is getting slapped around. That and poison is a major bitch. The only other negative is the mountain region and the long rock walls that force you to detour for half an hour across the entire map just to get to a point on the otherside. Very annoying. The plains and marshes are much better. Game is fun and gorgeous though. Once you learn your moves the combat gets a lot smoother and less button mashy. Summons are AMAZING. Holy shit. Ramuh rekts everything nearby including the forest. Also Cindy is best gurl. From here just gonna finish up side quests and find the easter eggs. Got type-0 to play through and still need to wrap up X and X2 HD.

Gamergate in a nutshell. On the right you have an individual saying they wish they could gas all gamergators. (back in october) On the left you have Brianna Wu using this to claim gg is threatening to gas PAX....as in a literal terrorist attack.. And for that she receives a Kotaku article talking about how brave she is. Which I'm not going to link to. Fucking vidya gaems man.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/keithlee/duelystCool little indie game by some devs from Diablo III and Rogue Legacy. Found it while looking for news on Hyper Light Drifter. Thought I'd share if anyone was interested. Think I just really love pixel art....and tactical/strategy games. Duelyst is a tactical turn-based strategy game with ranked competitive play for PC, Mac, and the web, brought to you by veteran developers and creators from Diablo III, Rogue Legacy, and the Ratchet & Clank series.
The focus is on squad-based combat on a tactical map for intense, fast-paced 1v1 battles with the simple winning objective of defeating your opponent's General. - Platform: Available for Windows/Mac/Linux and desktop browser. - Business Model: Every battle unit and spell is earned by spending time playing the game. As a result, this is NOT pay-to-win! Just like you, we want to buy a good solid game that we can go home to and play regularly with our friends. - Customize Your Battle Squad: Recruit a large roster of 100+ battle units and spells each with different abilities that interact in unique and endless ways during combat. No squad or battle will play out the same. - Skill-Based Tactical Combat: The emphasis is on unit positioning, understanding your squad's abilities, anticipating your opponent's capabilities, and maintaining board control. At it's core, it's a tactical tabletop board game without all the manual math calculations. - Online Multiplayer: Find equally matched players to play head-to-head anytime in Ranked or Draft mode on various competitive tiers. - Short Sessions: Each game session is designed to be played in less than 30 minutes. Now you can play competitive skill-based games without investing hours towards a single session. - NAGF (Not Another Generic Fantasy): The world of Duelyst has an expansive identity and mythology where you will see gorgeous landscapes filled with rich, complex characters, untold stories, and unraveled histories. - At Launch: 6 Factions with a roster of over 100 faction-specific and mercenary battle units and spells.
