Just a heads up. I'll probably be on bungle or skype if anyone needs me.
Long story short woke up to find that 'new' rules had been applied to me that had not been applied to anyone else (or that particular gif) previously. My badoo avatar has been deemed unacceptable for this site (despite being an ad run on this site). When I asked why these rules were not applied to previously lewd avatars (loaf, waifu master, tru, etc. etc.), and for a detailed dresscode list for avatars, I've been met with either vague answers or no answers. Evidently these are new rules that were made last night.
Frankly I'm just getting tired of the inconsistent moderation and different rules being applied to different people. Really sucks the enjoyment out of this place. I get that this isn't a professional site or all that experienced of a staff. I expect a certain amount of this stuff to be learned on the fly, but I'm tired of asking mods questions and having to have them wait on Cheat to make it up off the top of his head. Its not enjoyable to watch some users get off on calling people 'cunts' in serious no issue, while another user gets a harassment warning for calling someone an idiot.
Stuff like this has happened consistently and the answers I've gotten for why different users are getting different rules have never been satisfactory. Usually the reasoning is that someone reported them because of muh feels, and so we're changing the rules arbitrarily for this person. I get we're trying to make this place more opening and acceptable, but at this point its steadily stopped being fun for me. Its become more of a chore guessing what the rules are going to be week to week. Its obvious that this stuff is being made up based on who's reporting what rather than what the actual rules say.
Cheat (and Isara) are solid site designers, but the community management here is amateur at best.
Like the community. Like the site. Tired of how its being run. Not enjoying myself because of that.
So that's all I have to say on that. I know this post will make a couple users in particular happy. gg to them. You're slowly getting the strict moderation you voted for.
peace.

https://www.reddit.com/r/SandersForPresident/comments/3gadni/seattle_afternoon_rally_blacklivesmatter/Summary A recap of what happened: As Bernie was being introduced by rally organizers, a few BLM protesters got on stage and demanded the mic. What appeared to happen was this: the organizer didn't want to yield the mic, but Bernie went ahead and told them to give them a chance to speak. Bernie stepped off to the side of the stage. The speaking protester brought up incarceration rates, gentrification, etc. in Seattle, and then asked for a four and a half minute moment of silence for Michael Brown. The crowd managed to keep quiet enough, and the moment of silence was held. The speaking protester then began to make accusations against Bernie, at which point the crowd grew very restless and wanted to listen to him speak. The speaking protester was approached by one of the rally organizers and managed to get the mic from her, and attempted to give it to Bernie. Bernie seemed to have wanted some kind of resolution to the protest before he spoke, and gave the mic to another person on stage who did not appear to be a BLM activist or a Sanders campaign person (I think she was a rally organizer). She began to speak on how everyone there is supportive of the BLM movement, and how there is an issue with incarceration of minorities. There were several discussions between the BLM protesters and the new person speaking, and it seemed that the BLM protesters were not going to leave the stage until they got another chance with the mic. After several side discussions with campaign workers and others, Sanders appeared to have come to the conclusion that he would not have the chance to speak at the rally, and decided to leave the stage and then made a long walk weaving through the crowd shaking hands with supporters. The stream then ended.
Its hilarious because Bernie literally marched with Martin Luther King. Yet they seem to be targeting him over Clinton or the Republicans. Curious. Rally was originally set to discuss Social Security and Medicare. http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2015/08/08/bernie-sanders-leaves-seattle-stage-after-event-disrupted-by-black-lives-matter-protesters/?postshare=3981439098897913

Donald Trump (23%), Jeb Bush (13%), Scott Walker (11%), Mike Huckabee (7%), Ben Carson (7%), Ted Cruz (6%), Marco Rubio (5%), Rand Paul (5%), Chris Christie (3%), and John Kasich (3%) will be participating. Fox News hosting. Polling numbers via CNN. Rick Perry didn't make the cut. 2nd tier candidates will be having another debate at some other point in time evidently. Expecting to be embarrassed for my country and entertained at the same time. Thoughts? Predictions?

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mightyno9/red-ash-the-indelible-legend/Spiritual successor to Mega Man Legends. Also getting an animu to go along with it here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mightyno9/red-ash-magicicada-by-studio4cConcept Art: Beck: Male, 16 years old
A young boy who teams up with his partner Tyger, aiming to hit it big as Delvers. He is very dexterous and excels in using his fleet-footedness in battle, and adept at infiltration into the most heavily guarded areas.
His left arm can be interchanged with different types of tools and weapons, allowing him to adapt to any situation or terrain. Tyger: Male, 30 somethin' years old Beck's trustworthy partner. Although he has a rough way of talking, he also has a wise and level-headed demeanor that belies his tough appearance. He is an adept sharpshooter with incredible accuracy and precision, as well as a talented driver capable of operating a wide variety of vehicles and machinery.
He runs the T&B Company along with Beck. Call: Female, 17 years old
A young girl who runs a rinky-dink shop called Bones Company inside Great Slope.
She's run the place on her own since her parents disappeared on her at the age of 10. She's poured all of her time and energy into protecting and improving the shop they left behind, making sure everything is in order just in case they ever come home... Also, she loves money. Like REALLY loves money.
This mechanic specializes in buying lost technology excavated by Delvers and breaking it down into scrap for her own custom weapon designs. Call seems to have a very bright personality, but she is extremely strict when it comes to matters of money. She's a master bargainer, and never lets a single cent to go to waste.
Utilizing her technological know-how and information network, she has sent Beck and Tyger on a variety of strange missions over the years.
Gofer: Gender/age unknown
An autonomous A.I.-powered robot created by Call, and official employee of the Bones Company. Seems like it receives a salary, but no one knows the details.
Its face is actually a digital monitor capable of displaying a wide range of expressions or different types of information. Looks really neat. Hope they get enough funding.

Just curious what everyone's sources are. Apps, sites, channels etc. Also any one you particularly dislike?
I mostly stick to Reuters and Politico, and to a lesser extent AP News and the BBC. Tend to like outlets that try to be as objective as possible. BBC pushes the limits a lot but they're better than any of the big US broadcasters.
Occasionally will check out MSNBC, TYT, and Fox News for muh spin coverage. Not a big fan of the three, but its good to keep up with the different narratives and see where everyone is coming from.

http://www.thecollegefix.com/post/22839/“America is the land of opportunity,” “There is only one race, the human race” and “I believe the most qualified person should get the job” are among a long list of alleged microaggressions faculty leaders of the University of California system have been instructed not to say.
These so-called microaggressions – considered examples of subconscious racism – were presented at faculty leader training sessions held throughout the 2014-15 school year at nine of the 10 UC campuses. The sessions, an initiative of UC President Janet Napolitano, aim to teach how to avoid offending students and peers, as well as how to hire a more diverse faculty. Other sayings deemed unacceptable include:
● “Everyone can succeed in this society, if they work hard enough.”
● “Where are you from or where were you born?”
● “Affirmative action is racist.”
● “When I look at you, I don’t see color.”

"There are some other guys out in the Seattle area that have found themselves free from former encumbrances, and we've sort of gotten together and we're looking at some of the next new technology and whether there's a game there we want to make." 'That's a lot of fun, because it feels a little like the old days. Just a small team trying to do something really cool and unusual, and there's so much new technology out there that is unproven and needs some real tender loving thought and care" "Hardware will never sell itself. Without creative people to make something compelling, it will never sell, and that's our ace in the hole. So turns out the sequel to Afro Samurai is a vidya gaem. No gameplay shown, and not sure I like the art/animation style, but that'd be a really cool universe to explore with the proper funding. http://nichegamer.com/2015/06/heres-the-debut-trailer-for-afro-samurai-2-revenge-of-kuma/Publisher Versus Evil has published the debut trailer for Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of Kuma.
Featured above, you can view the new trailer for the upcoming PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC game, which is currently in development at Redacted Studios.
While there’s no actual gameplay, I saw an early build of the game at this year’s Game Developers Conference, which you can read about here.
Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of Kuma is set for a release some time this summer. The game will be on display at this year’s E3 expo, so we’re hoping to get a look at its new build.

http://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds/Where Refunds Apply
The Steam refund offer, within two weeks of purchase and with less than two hours of playtime, applies to games and software applications on the Steam store. Here is an overview of how refunds work with other types of purchases. Refunds on Downloadable Content (Steam store content usable within another game or software application, "DLC")
DLC purchased from the Steam store is refundable within fourteen days of purchase, and if the underlying title has been played for less than two hours since the DLC was purchased, so long as the DLC has not been consumed, modified or transferred. Please note that in some cases, Steam will be unable to give refunds for some third party DLC (for example, if the DLC irreversibly levels up a game character). These exceptions will be clearly marked as nonrefundable on the Store page prior to purchase. Refunds on In-game Purchases
Steam will offer refund for in-game purchases within any Valve-developed games within forty-eight hours of purchase, so long as the in-game item has not been consumed, modified or transferred. Third-party developers will have the option to enable refunds for in-game items on these terms. Steam will tell you at the time of purchase if the game developer has opted to offer refunds on the in-game item you are buying. Otherwise, in-game purchases in non-Valve games are not refundable through Steam. Refunds on Pre-Purchased Titles
When you pre-purchase a title on Steam (and have paid for the title in advance), you can request a refund at any time prior to release of that title. The standard 14-day/two-hour refund period also applies, starting on the game’s release date. Steam Wallet Refunds
You may request a refund for Steam Wallet funds within fourteen days of purchase if they were purchased on Steam and if you have not used any of those funds. Refunds on Bundles
You can receive a full refund for any bundle purchased on the Steam Store, so long as none of the items in the bundle have been transferred, and if the combined usage time for all items in the bundle is less than two hours. If a bundle includes an in-game item or DLC that is not refundable, Steam will tell you if the whole bundle is refundable during check-out. Purchases Made Outside of Steam
Valve cannot provide refunds for purchases made outside of Steam (for example, CD keys or Steam wallet cards purchased from third parties). VAC Bans
If you have been banned by VAC (the Valve Anti-Cheat system) on a game, you lose the right to refund that game. Movies
We are unable to offer refunds for movies on Steam. Refunds on Gifts
We are unable to offer refunds for gifts after they have been redeemed by the recipient. Abuse
Refunds are designed to remove the risk from purchasing titles on Steam—not as a way to get free games. If it appears to us that you are abusing refunds, we may stop offering them to you. We do not consider it abuse to request a refund on a title that was purchased just before a sale and then immediately rebuying that title for the sale price.

Paper Mario and Derpstiny the last couple of days for me. Really liking Paper Mario. Grabbed for $2 off the eshop. Didn't realize it was such a spiritual successor to Super Mario RPG. The level up screen is almost exactly carried over. Feel like I need to play TTYD now. Been picking up Destiny off and on since I was dumb enough to get teh digital launch edition. Feel like I need to get at least some of my moneys worth. Really craving a good fps right now, but the choices are pretty limited if you're not looking for military shooters.

tldw: So the ex-Machinima team / Roosterteeth crew have a source (that was previously reliable in leaking the kinect-less xbone bundle) that is saying Microsoft is looking to purchase the Silent Hills IP for 'billions'. Silent Hills being the PT demo thing with Norman Reedus that was being directed by Kojima in collaboration with Guillermo del Toro before Konami imploded and ran away to mobile. Can't say I'd miss it at all if it went exclusive tbh. But then I'm not a fan of series in the first place. Update: https://archive.is/75pglSpencer saying rumor is fake. Take from that what you will. When Funhaus's source was talking about the kinectless xbone MS was saying they would never do it. Grains of salt either way.
