As long as you have good A/X-Wing pilots, yeah. Not unbalanced really.
You're acting like they are hard to fly.
They must be, if everyone's just crashing about 50% of the time.
That's because idiots don't know how to alternate vehicle speed and think that you can inflict kamikaze damage on AT-ATs.
This is my point. This is why the rebels lose most of the time.
--They lose air dominance.

The way you phrase it sounds like you're saying that the Rebels are at a distinct disadvantage on Hoth.
They do.

Same for the Empire. But, from my experience, the Empire mostly gets an AT-AT camper and will plow through everyone anyway.
That's not the disadvantage of being on that side of the gamemode, that's the disadvantage of playing with idiots. Applies to literally any game.
