Hunting is good for the environment and ecology by preventing trophic cascades and keeping populations in equilibrium. If hunting was suddenly banned, you'd see massive upheavals in predator populations followed by a sharp decline. You'd see the death of many riparian habitats across the country.

I think most people argue from the assumption that they're correct.

Just a heads up, allowing an outlet for unmoderated shitposting doesn't prevent it in the mains, it just gradually undermines your authority as a moderator or admin until we get to the point where shitposting is tolerated and embraced by the foremost members of your site (as it is now). This site layout is great, I just wonder whether you had any experience leading or moderating anything before, because the constant turbulence with rules and the huge interruption every weekend is a pretty poor way to run a forum. Admins complaining about their lives, moderators taking part in controversial discussions as well as the trolling efforts seen throughout the forums -- it's just bizarre. This site is experiencing the same trends that led to a mass exodus from B.Net. Maybe I'm just not in on the joke, but I don't understand why you think it's okay to let people call each other niggers and faggots on the weekend. Frankly I'm embarrassed to be part of this community sometimes.

the fuck has happened to gaming
Probably has something to do with the fact that game prices haven't gone up in over a decade despite exponentially increasing production costs and the demand for higher quality.

Ace your undergrad, get your master's early, outperform your peers, get a better and more fulfilling job while they're writing meaningless code for some minor project. Get your doctorate, start teaching university and challenge students the way you wanted to be, continue to do projects in your free time for passion. Retire happy at 60.

Probably everyone, since games like these typically raise the level cap with each expansion.

Nickelback has good songs and AC is a largely enjoyable series with enough innovation between sagas to keep me coming back.
It's fun to hate popular things in the cynical echo chambers of the internet but taking pride in disliking something is just silly.

Can someone, as concisely as possible, explain to me the issue that GG is attempting to correct, what methods they're using, and whether it has yielded any results? I've seen tons of journalist articles brushing GG aside as 4chan trying to cyber-rape Zoe Quinn, and I've seen tons of forum posts about journalists brushing GG aside as 4chan trying to cyber-rape Zoe Quinn, but I haven't seen a single thing about forward progress or even a defined goal.
Kotaku, Polygon and a number of other sites have updated their ethics policies/guidelines and retroactively disclosed relationships in articles/reviews as a result of information found by gamergate. It's not about 4chan and cyber raping Zoe Quinn....what ever that means.
Its about better ethical standards in the gaming press and less nepotism between the press and the industry they cover. If you could be bothered sit through some of it I'd look up some of Total Biscuit's work to get a better picture on the situation. Or have a long read here. The problem is most of the information requires a lot of time and effort to get sorted through at this point, and its far easier just to label everyone sexist than find out the facts.
Reading is fine, thanks for the links.

I legitimately think that we should criminalize lesbianism. The thought of those muffin munchers being allowed to continue their degenerate ways sickens me.
Scissoring is an affront to human sensibility. Spoiler Everyone knows you use strapons.

For some reason I just can't stand Bojack Horseman. There are so many good voice actors but their roles are just terrible. I could never imagine not laughing at anything Will Arnett says, but I haven't even chuckled at any of his lines. Yeah, Aaron Paul's in it but his voice acting doesn't stand out at all.
It feels like it's trying to replicate the style and success of Curb Your Enthusiasm but it falls flat, at least in my opinion. A lot of the voice actors are funny because they use physical comedy, it's not just their voice that's funny.

LOL people still drink alcohol?
Bruh, anthropology has determined that civilization formed because it made it easier to distill alcohol. It's part of the human experience.

He's not even a real Christian. I stopped taking him seriously when he accepted gays.

I'm terrible at judging weight of women. My fiancee is 5' 6", 130lbs? I dunno. Not skinny but not a tub-o. I don't have an ideal height/weight, as long as the proportions are there.

"Relax, I'd rather not piss this thing off" is my favorite line of dialog in all of Halo. It's just so Chiefy.
That almost-human mouth inside the maw is super creepy. Love it.

There's a difference between piss and alcohol?
Not when it comes to light beers.

Depends on the mood I'm in.
If I'm out at the bar with friends - a good craft beer If I'm chilling at home - whiskey neat, or maybe a spiced rum and coke
I like your style, Max. What kind of beer do you prefer?
7822
« on: October 29, 2014, 12:24:57 PM »
Just kidding, nobody cares what you prefer, because whiskey is objectively the best alcohol. In fact, it's probably the best drink. I can't scientifically verify that because we haven't discovered all beverage recipes in existence, but I can say with high probability (p < .01) that whiskey is better than them. Don't reply, just go sip a whiskey.

We already know that both Arrow and The Flash have acknowledged Batman/Gotham in one way or another, though. Interested to see where they go with that.
The only reference I've caught in Arrow is Harley Quinn in the Suicide Squad episode. Is there anything else? Really though, Arrow is basically what I've always wanted from a Batman origin series. He just happens to use arrows rather than other gadgets.

we see Felicity reading a blog about The Red Streak
Sounds like a particularly bad underwear stain. OT: Arrow is bitchin', and even though Barry was kind of a loser in the show, I'm looking forward to watching the Flash. I really hope DC uses them in the future Justice League amalgam. It'd be cool to even see it tied into the Gotham show (the Queen family, Detective Lance, etc.).

FACT: All humans are female for the first few weeks after conception.
FACT: The vast majority of abortions occur within the first two months.
FACT: The majority of doctors are cismale.
FACT: Patriarchy.
In case I have to explain this for anyone here who is literally a toddler, abortion is societal pressure (a patriarchal society, mind you) on womyn to make them feel like they can't support a child for whatever reason. It's forcing womyn to kill other womyn, because men say so.
Wake up, sheeple. Stop getting your wool sheared by the influence of Big Transportation (don't think DoT is running this entire country? Think again.). It's time to wait until the fetus becomes a male; we won't stop until 50% of all abortions are late-term males.
