Sarah Palin as president? ✓ Sarah Palin is a Reptilian? ✓ Hitler is alive? ✓ The planet is hollow? ✓ A Reptilian Sarah Palin flipping off a T-Rex-riding Hitler in the center of the hollow Earth?✓

In other news, the Pope recently condemned waging war in the name of God.

Not sure how anyone can condone this method of protest. Not sure how anyone can continue to claim that Brown's death was unjustified. Seems like if you want a vehicle to protest police brutality, there are much better examples than a case about a guy that was attacked in his car with three independent autopsies corroborating his testimony.

Not digging the Abrams feel. Star Trek needed it for the younger generation, but Star Wars doesn't have that problem.
Also, the lightsaber looks retarded and I'm hoping it turns out to be some sort of pike or staff.

I didn't think the Snowden/Manning leaks were even particularly interesting. Of course the government needs to be checked and held accountable, and that efforts to enforce its will can infringe on liberties, but the idea that liberty and security are to be balanced is just silly, in my opinion. Look at Iraq, under Saddam they had significantly more rights and freedom, as well as security. Now under pseudo-democracy they have very little of both. Or the USSR: low freedom, high security. Or America now: high freedom, high security. Or Britain during the Blitz: restricted liberties for marginally more security. There are tons of conflicting cases, and it's shortsighted to think that it could never be acceptable to give up a freedom to be safe for a time.
P.S. Happy Thanksgiving from the states!

I think it's very easy for people that have, for the most part, never faced a serious threat from another power, to say that liberty is far more important than security.
I think it's very easy for people that don't, for the most part, realise that their own government can pose a significant threat to their well-being.
Sentence fragment. All I'm saying is that we've got a bunch of relatively wealthy, free, and safe people in this thread saying they'd take liberty over security no matter what, and that just seems incredibly juvenile to me.

It's titled as a teaser trailer so they're just referring to a full length trailer I presume.
I wasn't even thinking of it in that way >.>
I looked it up on the Google, and apparently the official trailer releases on Friday.
Oh, awesome.

I think it's a false dichotomy.
You can't disagree that, with the government trying to ensure security, it will pretty much always encroach.

lmao Treyarch is pissed off at Bungie
I'm amazed at how everyone is playing this game, and every is pissed at it.
Its like school, or the dentist.
Probably because it's fun as hell despite being repetitive and empty.

Progressivism 55 Socialism 25 Tenderness 62.5
Your test scores indicate that you are a tender-minded cultural centrist; this is the political profile one might associate with a protective parent. It appears that you are accepting of religion, and have a balanced attitude towards humanity in general.
Your attitudes towards economics appear capitalist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a libertarian.
To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a sensible radical egalitarian with many strong convictions. you are a tender-minded cultural centrist

Anita Sarkeesian looks like she's a satirical character played by the chick in Portlandia.
Watched the whole video and thought it was pretty good.

You might want to consider the newly announced DS2 version for next gen. Sounds pretty good and includes all DLC.
I've got it in PC already. Did they do any graphical improvements? Can you transfer your character like you can for Skyrim?

And yes, Brown was murdered by the cop. Don't know how emptying a clip into an unarmed person isn't fucking overkill.
Because a single bullet does not guarantee death or incapacitation of the target.
Just curious, if one bullet had incapacitated him and the second killed him (hypothetically), how does a few more bullets in quick succession (i.e., not deliberately firing into a dead body) change this from self defense into murder?

Your strike team opened the cell to prevent the Fallen from restoring his soul. I suspect 'soul' is just a culty/pseudo-science Fallen thing to describe that he was in some sort of suspended animation. Why did he have a gun? I dunno, maybe he was captured with it on his person and it didn't really make a difference. I think it would have made more sense to see him pull it out of a ship or crate like the Fallen were bringing it to him, but whatever.
Basically you woke the dude up so that he wasn't fully restored and thus a bit weaker. If you had let the Fallen finish, he would've been massively more difficult. Or so sayeth Bungie.

Guilty verdict: justice has been served!
Not Guilty verdict: the justice system is corrupt and racist!
That's some strong self-serving bias right there.

I don't think a MAC round would do much since the deflector shields cause projectiles to deflect off, rather than trying to just stop the force.
That would be true. The mac round would be going slower than the speed of light which warp causes things to warp around the ship faster than the speed of light. So that round would be just like anything else in its path.
The Forerunner energy weapon wouldn't do much either since their shields can be tuned to specifically block certain frequencies. I don't know the power of those weapons, but I think Voyager or some other Star Trek ship went into a sun. That right there would be some serious shield strength.
Yeah, it's kinda ridiculous but I think their shields are basically immune to thermal or other energy weapons that don't use a varying frequency like a phaser.

Dude got attacked and fatally shot a guy in self defense. Did he instigate the conflict? Maybe, but that doesn't invalidate the right to defend himself. Yeah it sucks that this all happened and it's very tragic, but nobody should be surprised by this.
In recent news, a cop shot a 12 year old kid after he reached for a lifelike toy gun in his waistband after being told to comply.
