If you have an affinity for body horror, yeah. I would say about 50% of the film is standard neurotic Goldblum acting and the other half is pure body horror.
I think that's my least preferred method of horror. Event Horizon is relatively tame, but I'd say it's right about where my tolerance lies. Stuff like Attack on Titan is really unnerving for me because of that content. I prefer more psychological horror.
Really? I feel like that's where the impact of horror is kind of underutilized. I recognise the effect psychological horror can have on people but they really just don't do it for me. I can enjoy films like the Shining or The Blair Witch Project for what they are but they hardly disturb/frighten me, and a good majority of the subgenre has me disengaged throughout.
Body horror is where it's at famalam.
Yeah, I think I'm just a lightweight. I'm pretty new to actually enjoying horror films, so I'm still siding towards violent thrillers than true horror. the only horror film i'd recommend that you've no doubt already seen is the babadook

I saw The Void recently, which was a great throwback to the body horror Carpenter era and utilizes fantastic gore and creature effects. Characters could've been more well rounded but an otherwise really enjoyable homage to the golden era of horror.

You guys have to remember that this is in actuality the 10th book/story. It's picking up right where the 9th book left off. I won't spoil the story, but this should be a bit more action based. It isn't about Roland becoming whole again, it's about what happens after he becomes whole.
Without spoiling anything, is this story even a plausible setup for a sequel, or is it entirely out of left field?

Somewhat relevant, but Trump very quietly turned back measures put in place by Obama to keep the mentally ill from obtaining firearms. No media coverage, no announcements, just a slight mention at the bottom of a White House press release.

There are a whole slew of arguments again legislating gun restrictions for the mentally ill though. First of all, it incorrectly identifies the mentally ill as highly susceptible to violent crimes, which is simply untrue. Second, it provides a barrier to diagnosis for people that are afraid their freedoms will slowly be regulated away just because they seek treatment for their illness; it stigmatizes mental illness as a source of crime. Suicide by firearm is a serious issue, as it's the most successful method, but at what point does the government step aside from baby-proofing the house, if you will? The U.S. and U.K. have comparable suicide rates, so clearly the solution isn't as easy as banning guns. Don't get me wrong, I'm not implying you believe that's the only step that should be taken, but whether gun bans actually decrease suicide rates is highly contested.

It's a huge clusterfuck, and I largely blame pharmaceutical companies. It's actually illegal for doctors to refuse pain medication in a lot of cases, and it's incredibly easy to get a legitimate prescription. These laws are lobbied by pharmaceutical companies, who just don't give a fuck.

I get where you're coming from, but a degree isn't really what it takes to hold a title in something. I majored in engineering, but I'm not an engineer, for example. Everyone's subject to their own biases, and I'd strongly doubt that any curriculum is teaching about the evil of Andrew Jackson. With your education though, I would ask if you genuinely believe his opponent (or any other politician) would have done anything radically different. "A product of the times" is a lazy excuse for a lot of things, and I would agree that genocide of First Nations tribes was a literal act of evil, but to shoulder it on one guy and use that to discredit everything else he did is a bit much.

I'm really not sure. I don't even know if it would be considered a liquid diet, since that tends to imply a lack of other nutrients. Soylents have soy protein, maltodextrin, and ground oats.

If you're familiar with the actual product, Soylent, there are people that have used it as their sole source of nutrients for over a year, so it's a legitimate thing. I've replaced my breakfasts with it during weekdays.

I (rightly) assume that anyone that mains Genji or Widowmaker on console is a piece of shit. Hanzo I can forgive for his broken scattershot, radar arrow, and ult.
Hanzo is easily one of my least favorite heroes. I know there's some very skilled Hanzo players out there, but the vast, vast majority of times you're killed by one it just feels so cheap. Arrows with hitboxes the size of a Torbjorn that are just spammed at your team until it happens to connect with your torso and register a headshot, or scattershots that, if god wills it, bounce in the right way to deplete your entire health pool when placed somewhere in the general vicinity of your feet. It's the kind of hero where if I'm killed by him, I usually feel like it was just a cheap lucky shot that wouldn't have landed it if weren't for the extremely lenient hitboxes. And the rare times I'm playing as him, I feel like few of my kills are actually deserved, which is a feeling I don't really have with many other heroes.
I agree with that. I was speaking about having those characters on my team; in general, I tend to think of Junkrat and Hanzo as the least respectable characters to play specifically because of their unbalanced abilities and spam-based attacks. I'd include Pharah, but at least (on consoles) managing her controls and aiming requires a modicum of skill -- and this is coming from a player that mains Roadhog, who can pull off fairly easy one-hit kills frequently.
