If the memo he wrote detailed an opinion that was more agreeable with the people that complained and those who decided to fire him, then I suspect that he wouldn't have been fired at all.
Publicly arguing with your superiors is inappropriate in any work setting, and the guy demonstrated his own idiocy by writing about debunked gender science.

Watching the last HP movie in the background and they just got to the part where they reveal that Snape was in love with Lily for the past 20 years, which drove him to turn against Voldy etc.
But that's kind of awkward and ham-fisted, right? Like, there wasn't really much in the way of building their relationship except some implied jealousy between Snape and James. It took a 3 minute long exposition dump to make it work, when they could've just revealed that he's actually been a good guy the entire time, just not one that disliked Harry because he didn't get to fuck his mom.

Did the white walkers have that giant mile long chain and collar laying around just in case a dragon shows up?
Seen some comments about how they were near Hardhome, a port town, which would have chains for ships. But the real answers is to just turn your brain off and enjoy it.

So if killing white walkers kills wights, does killing the Children kill the white walkers?

Here's the director of the episode basically telling fans that the show is popular and to not think too hard and enjoy it.
http://www.newsweek.com/game-thrones-season-7-pace-criticism-director-alan-taylor-653038
“It’s funny...I did see one review where he just could not get past the airspeed velocity of a raven. If the show was struggling, if it wasn’t finding an audience, I would be up in arms about that and trying to press back, but it actually just made me laugh,” says Taylor.
“You’ve got a [dragon] that’s bigger than a [Boeing] 747 [plane] with seven people riding on its back, and you’re worried about the speed of a raven being believable. OK, obviously, we’re not doing our jobs correctly for you, but it seems to be working for a lot of other people.”
Taylor adds: “I know some people...it’s funny, because they’re just torturing themselves. They want to like the show.... The guy I was reading, he obviously got a protractor out and a ruler to measure how fast a raven would get from here to there. But hopefully that didn’t bog down too many people.” I mean, I get it...nobody's confused about why they're doing it, it's just that the show went from being one of the most grounded takes on low fantasy with fleshed-out characters and themes to just a barrage of set pieces and plot points. It's pretty embarrassing for the director when he laughs at his fans because they scrutinize the consistency and quality of the story.

don't you have better things to do than shitpost here?
It's sort of a valid point. I've argued before that Hitler sat just left of center.
It's pretty bizarre that fascism is considered right-wing to begin with. Huge government? Planned economy? And anarchists are on the left, despite being extreme libertarians? The whole concept of a linear left/right spectrum is defunct.

>kill the one who raised them and they all die
zzz
Not to mention that this wasn't shown at Hardhome at all.
>"He must have been the one that raised them"
The fuck? Since when was it established canon that wights have specific symbiotic relationships? They're literally contradicting themselves at this point just so they can get an ebic 1v1 between Jon and the Night King.
It also doesn't explain why they'd burn bodies, if the White Walkers literally have to touch every single wight they make. Haven't we seen dead guys beyond the wall turn into wights before? Fuck, I hate thinking about the show. It just makes it worse.

Alcohol withdrawal is no joke, but it's usually over after a week. Still, I'd see your PCP or go to an urgent care with those symptoms.

Btw, why didn't the ice just break again as soon as the wights started walking on it?

Gendry ran back to the wall, sent a raven to Dany, who then flew from dragonstone to north of the wall, all in the span of about 24 hours. Normally the teleporting can be excused by just assuming weeks pass during these trips, but this was especially ridiculous.
They may as well have just retconned the books by saying red priests can send messages in fire or some shit instead of doing all of this. Good episode, though. I like it when they focus on one or two events, rather than highlights from every character.

What's your position in the company? I've always considered petroleum engineering after the navy because of the pay and schedule.

Are you dropping the weight after or lowering it like a fucking retard?

Dropping heavy deadlifts damages the floor and will get you thrown out of any gym or meet.
Christ.
No lifting federation judges a dropped deadlift as a valid rep, but regardless, any thoughts on the issue of plateauing?

Why would you need to deadlift so much to begin with?
Deadlifts are one of the most important exercises to perform because of the full-body strength it builds, and constant improvement is key to becoming stronger and staying fit. 475 isn't really all that much, either.

Been stuck on a deadlift plateau for about a month. Barely hit 475 on my last max day, after a 455 max. Currently doing a linear program, and I've been struggling to finish my working sets each week, typically only being able to get half of them. The bar just won't even leave the ground, even though I know I can do the weight. Neither bench nor squats are giving me the same problem.
Deloads haven't made a difference. I just feel fucking exhausted after my first two sets. Thoughts?

Leftists are doing a good job helping terrorists kill civilians by spending their time and energy on Trump hating and calling everyone racist who disagrees with them.
Do you believe fewer islamic terrorist attacks would occur in America if we were less progressive and tolerant, and more racist and misogynist?
Possibly. If we emulate a middle eastern society more, they might start to like us!
If you can't beat 'em ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm naturally a formal speaker, which is good for my job, but in your conference it may be more important to throw in jokes, different inflections, hand gestures, etc. I kind of doubt that's the case, but those can be good ways to keep the audience engaged -- i.e., not bored to death.
And of course, rehearse whatever you're saying, and have a bulleted script in front of you to guide you along.
I get to use a powerpoint presentation, so that'll help. Formal speaking is also expected, so I should be fine there as well. My main concern is my familiarity with the topic I'm presenting. Much of it is of a colleague of mine who won't be able to attend, so I'm covering his research too. It's the fielding questions in front of cameras and several hundred people on a topic I'm not intimately familiar with that's got me worried.
I'm not sure how appropriate it would be, but since a lot of it is someone else's work, if you don't know an answer, maybe you could respond by saying you will follow up with an email after conferring with your colleague? Otherwise, there's only so much you can anticipate being asked, so have some sort of professional response ready in case you don't know something. Careful with powerpoint, too. Don't let it be a crutch.

Google 'wet shaving'. tl;dr, use good soap instead of canned foam, use a safety razor or a cartridge with as few blades as you can find (a single blade is good, and can sometimes be found in the section with stuff for black people, who are prone to razor bumps). Don't use old razors, use face wash, and moisturize your skin. Aftershave can help with inflammation, too.

Pretty decent at it after going through flight school. I tended to fidget with my hands or watch, so I hold my hands behind my back and put my watch on the table or podium in front of me. I also had a lot of "ums" in my speech, so I learned to take a breath or throw in other filler words like "in addition..." or anything else to transition between two thoughts I haven't mentally linked together. I also find that eye contact with a friend or partner works for me, so while I scan the room and try to make eye contact with people routinely, if I start to get uncomfortable I come back to my buddy and stay there for a bit. Why make less episodes if you're just going to rush it
From what I've heard, they want to just be done with GOT at this stage to focus on their new project. They've been working on it for 10 years now and have been forced to write the plot themselves, which is something I'm sure they didn't think they'd be doing when they started.
Just find new directors ffs. Someone could've exploited the source material for five more seasons without it feeling milked.

I don't believe for a second that Jon assembles the SuperFriends to grab a wight from beyond the wall. They did that plot already, and it's clear Cersei doesn't give a shit about the Others. I also can't believe Dany splits her army/navy into 3 parts and decides to go on dragon adventures alone. It feels like they're rehashing the war of the five kings because they're out of source material.

Because incentivizing women to stay in the workforce and not relegating all who wish to raise a family to unemployment is good for the economy.
