the shitty nice thing about star wars is that you can point to any stupid inconsistency with the plot and justify it with "the force"
this mostly applies to the OT, though--the prequels managed to use (not abuse) this justification in many clever ways--especially since they put a tangible, grasp-able science behind the force with midi-chlorians, rather than just have it be incomprehensible magicky bullshit
it makes sense that a force-sensitive would have microscopic life forms in their bloodstream trying to protect them, just like we have microscopic life forms trying to protect us in the real world
it doesn't make sense that a force-sensitive can just magic himself out of any bad situation for the sake of plot convenience
"I'm like such a vanguard for liking the shittiest thing that happened to Star Wars. Cause like, Star Wars was totally a sci fi movie and not a fantasy opera with mystical story elements , so I cannot possibly fathom how someone could be upset or surprised by the decision to explain the unexplainable with rationalistic empericism and technobabble. I need things that are concrete and definable otherwise I'll have a massive panic attack"

Except you weren't able to describe why those things were objectively abnormal.
That's not what I was trying to do. They are objectively abnormal for our social climate, because they all speak to one's inability to tap in to what's socially acceptable. What's socially acceptable? Whatever the fuck the average person says.
There's a condition for people like you who are unable to tap in to our social climate. You know what that is?
Autism.
Disregarding the cheap and overdone "autism" attack, you're absolutely right about one thing; The concept of normality is completely dependent on the culture the individual is brought up in. Being who you are DESPITE ones culture is what being normal is all about.

What does "being normal" mean?
"everyone is weird in their own way lul, so i can't figure out what normal is"
Pretty much.
It's not that hard.
It is for you, evidently.
LMAO GET FUCKED
Except you weren't able to describe why those things were objectively abnormal. You just listed things that made you feel personally uncomfortable.

Wow guys Class is like such a courageous dissident for like telling us what we already know. Dude should be a professor at MIT or something.
Yeah, he truly is. Can take a lot of balls [of steel] to make people stop dreaming and actually face reality.
I know right, before Class informed me of the situation, I thought the military was all sunshine and roses.
The three statements you've made don't go together.
1) You said that Class is courageous for telling us (you and me) what we already know 2) You said that Class informed you of the situation, thus statement 1 is false
Yeah you totally just exposed my logical fallacies. Because like, I have been completely unsarcastic this whole time.
You don't think I picked up on your sarcasm? I'm countering it, and calmly criticizing the lack of consistency in it.
If you're inconsistent, you're changing your arguments, and if you're changing your arguments, I can't win since you're jumping all over the place. Sure I'd be winning battles, but ultimately you'd shit all over the playing board and think that you've won.
Yeah that's totally what I'm doing.
That's not even sarcasm, you're acting like a fool right now. Well, now I've formed an opinion of you. I had no idea who you were up until this thread, but now I do. You're a clown; a faggot; a god damned fool. I dislike your personality, or person. Whatever you wanna call it, I just dislike who you are as a person.
Damn that's a shame, because your opinion meant so much to me.
You god damn moron, why don't you go to school and get smarter or something? Watch videos, read books, and think. You're clearly a novice at it.
You know what, you're right. I concede because your opinion means sooo much to me.
It does? Well then you really are a fool.
Oh shit dude you totally got me again. You're too good at this.
:^) You're not getting away with this
Oh crap are you on the debate team because wow you keep exposing me left and right.

Some people are more sensitive to it than others. It really just depends what kind of body you have. Bread in general isn't ideal to be eating on a consistent basis as it's a highly refined simple carbohydrate that can easily spike blood sugar levels.

Porn reinforces untrue stereotypes of what sex and relationships actually are. Porn can become a damaging habit.
People are retarded, but personally, I'd still grant them the ability to realize that you're not going to get your dick sucked in the real world just because you fixed your neighbor's pipes. Most people aren't that stupid.
I'm more worried about it becoming an addiction more than anything. People can easily fall into a cycle where porn fills their sexual desires, rather than going to meet people and fullfilling their true sexuality.
I'm worried by the increasing number of people I see nowadays who feel that personal freedoms should be taken away to protect and shelter society.
I will admit that saying we shouldn't have the right to view porn could be seen as anti-freedom and imposing a form of a culture, and you're correct in being worried about this kind of mentality, but the core of what I'm trying to get across is that pornography is a habitual trap that can be a distraction of a person's true sexual identity. It can lead to confusion and sexual frustration. I guess the only logical thing to do is to just educate people that it's not in their best in interest to be watching porn all the time. But you're right that it's probably not best to say a person's right to view it should be taken away.

If you're the type of person to get addicted to porn, you're probably not all that interested in intimacy in the first place
Or you actually crave intimacy and acceptance but can never find it so you develop an excessive masturbation habit because of the dopamine rush from orgasm and eventually you just accept life as a porn addict working his way down the rabbit hole in to increasingly depraved and taboo fetish material to the point where real women with normal sexual wants no longer interest you, but that's fine because you never liked women as people anyway because you harbor deeply rooted subconscious hatred for your mother left over from early childhood.
this is hilarious and sad at the same time

On the question of weather it should be allowed? No, I don't think it should be allowed, but this country is so crazy over the freedom notion that it probably never will be banned. It can most definately become an addiction and this idea that porn is okay because everyone watches porn is not helpful or healthy.
Most parents don't give a shit and aren't smart enough to prevent their kids from being exposed to porn. It's going to happen weather they like it or not. No amount of safeguarding with stop that. So what should a parent do? Educate them that porn is not the real world and is simply an unhealthy distraction.
