The Xbone is the shittiest console this generation.
PS4 is nogaems and WiiU is only worth having for exclusives, but goddamn at least they're dedicated gaming consoles and not wannabe media centers

Remember when not too long ago the only DLCs were map packs with three maps for $10? Remember when a large developer named Bungie gave the community a free map?
>$10 >for three maps Something something happy merchant shekel something

That awkwardness when I've only had coffee once as a kid, and I didn't like it and never tried it again.
I can't stand coffee normally, but I love it with cream and honey and stuff mixed in.

When DLC became the norm, intelligent people foresaw that it wouldn't be long before important segments and the extra bonuses that were free in the last gen would start being cut out and sold back to the customer, while the idiots cried "tinfoil hat". Guess what?
Then smart people said that online passes were a prelude to further attempts to kill used games. What did Microsoft try at the XBone's release?
Sony's streaming service is testing the waters. They want to see how tolerant consumers are to not even having the games in their houses.
Companies like Activision, EA, and Microsoft have been talking about "games as a service" (as opposed to the current model of games as a product) for years. (Valve started that line, by the way)
The scenario that they want is very clear: They want the consumer to buy the console, buy the subscription, buy the game, play it on their servers, and pay for additional content. And in 2025 when the game isn't on their servers anymore? Tough.
You also have to know how little respect the industry publishers have for the industry consumers. Their response to the consumer expecting a quality product is to start pissing on the consumers.
The game industry is growing up at the worst possible time. Music and movies are safe because they're established. When people buy a movie, they expect to get the full movie, and to be able to watch that movie whenever they want from that day forward, whether their internet is connected or not. Same with music.
However, games are new(ish), as is modern technology, and the big boys are experimenting to see just how much they can exploit the combination.

And this is why I don't like the online Lesbian and Trans communities (yes those are a thing), it's all bitching and negativity. It's as if they've never been to a gay bar...
You really expect people who whine about sexuality on the internet to have active social lives?

lol Yuropoors cannot into freedom of speech.
In all fairness, physical threats aren't free speech, but it's still pretty silly.
I'm willing to bet a lot of money on these laws being used as precedent to lock up political dissidents within the next 20 years

It is absolutely essential not only for ethical reasons, but for the survival of our species -indeed, of every species- that we do as much as we can to preserve the Earth's environment as possible. At least until we are able to get resources and colonize other worlds. Then we can do whatever we want with the Earth.

Environmentalism is about preserving the environment for ethical/moral reasons. I'm more concerned about preserving it for economic reasons.
The edge.
