http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2014/10/vladimir-putins-coup-112025_Page3.html#ixzz3GgrXa53wSince then, Russia has attempted to involve Poland in the invasion of Ukraine, just as if it were a post-modern re-run of the historic partitions of Poland. “He wanted us to become participants in this partition of Ukraine,” says Sikorski. “Putin wants Poland to commit troops to Ukraine. These were the signals they sent us. … We have known how they think for years. We have known this is what they think for years. This was one of the first things that Putin said to my prime minister, Donald Tusk, [soon to be President of the European Council] when he visited Moscow. He went on to say Ukraine is an artificial country and that Lwow is a Polish city and why don’t we just sort it out together. Luckily Tusk didn’t answer. He knew he was being recorded.”

Well, universally that Thomas Paine's acumen is esteemed very little perceptive concerning whatsoever matters are being held as most profitably by mortals with sapience endowed to be studied who is ignorant of that which the most in doctrine erudite and certainly by reason of that in them high mind's ornament deserving of veneration constantly maintain when by general consent they affirm that other circumstances being equal by no exterior splendour is the prosperity of a nation more efficaciously asserted than by the measure of how far forward may have progressed the tribute of its solicitude for that proliferent continuance which of evils the original if it be absent when fortunately present constitutes the certain sign of omnipollent nature's incorrupted benefaction.

When DLC became the norm, intelligent people foresaw that it wouldn't be long before important segments and the extra bonuses that were free in the last gen would start being cut out and sold back to the customer, while the idiots cried "tinfoil hat". Guess what?
Then smart people said that online passes were a prelude to further attempts to kill used games. What did Microsoft try at the XBone's release?
Sony's streaming service is testing the waters. They want to see how tolerant consumers are to not even having the games in their houses.
Companies like Activision, EA, and Microsoft have been talking about "games as a service" (as opposed to the current model of games as a product) for years. (Valve started that line, by the way)
The scenario that they want is very clear: They want the consumer to buy the console, buy the subscription, buy the game, play it on their servers, and pay for additional content. And in 2025 when the game isn't on their servers anymore? Tough.
You also have to know how little respect the industry publishers have for the industry consumers. Their response to the consumer expecting a quality product is to start pissing on the consumers.
The game industry is growing up at the worst possible time. Music and movies are safe because they're established. When people buy a movie, they expect to get the full movie, and to be able to watch that movie whenever they want from that day forward, whether their internet is connected or not. Same with music.
However, games are new(ish), as is modern technology, and the big boys are experimenting to see just how much they can exploit the combination.

1. In one word, describe how you would have felt as an immigrant stepping off of the boat at Ellis Island with little money and virtually no command of the English language. ängstlich 2. Go online and further explore the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882. What was the motivation behind this law? 3. What role did immigrants play in the Industrialization of America? 4. Why were settlement houses needed and why did the Social Gospel movement emerge during this time? 5. What was the main goal of political machines? 6. Who controlled the city’s political machine? 7. What was the most famous political machine? 8. What was the benefit of moving from the patronage system to the merit system? 9. Describe the “planks” in the populist party platform. 10. Why was it called the Gilded Age? (this may take additional research) 11. Which push/pull factor do you think was the most important motivation for immigration 12.
