That's one thing that always bugged me: Why was God such a fucking asshole as to put a tree like that in the middle of a field and tell Adam and Eve, "You better not touch that, that's the cookie jar. Keep your hands off of it."
And then when they did, he fucking cast them out and cursed their descendants and the whole of Earth. Like an asshole.
And literally make the one being that wanted to give you some cookies the most evil being in existence.
Here's where perspective matters. God is good, and righteous. Sin, is the opposite of that: unrighteousness, darkness, evil. It defiles, it corrupts.
So what does eating of the tree of knowledge do? Well that's the question.
Genesis 3:7
Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
Sin comes into the picture, the very moment Adam and Eve eat of the tree. Eating of the tree didn't enlighten them, it corrupted them. They were perfect in every way, they would never work for food or die of old age.
They eat of the apple, then suddenly......everything goes wrong. They are aware of their nakedness and feel shame, they hide from God whom they loved so much. And what does God do when He discovers this? The first thing He does is curse the serpent.
Why curse it? Because God saw the serpent had destroyed the innocence of those He loved. And created a rift of sin, that divided them. Christ was the only way to bridge that divide.
Here is what happens immediately after the cursing of the serpent:
Genesis 3: 17-20
To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat from it,' "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return."
All these results you see, they aren't God cursing them. "Cursed is the ground because of you".
He is saying their actions caused this suffering they will now experience.

But we weren't ignorant or stupid. The only difference was, we weren't in sin.
We had the freedom of choice, but we chose wrong. Adam and Eve knew what they did was wrong, since they were told not to do it, but the gravity of what they had done didn't sink in until after the fact. They felt shame and hid from God because of it.
You see it as "enlightenment" or realization, but this event isn't called "The fall of man" for nothing. It wasn't a step up, it was a leap off a cliff from perfection to imperfection.
Yes, how dare they have free will. Because they had Free Will, God decided to:
Make them mortal
Experience sickness and suffering
Cursed their children (and every child after them) to sin
Damned them to Hell
Forced women to experience the pain of childbirth
and threw them out of paradise.
Meanwhile the Devil is happy to take all the rejects, such as gay people, furries, and people with mental instabilities. I'm thinking I'd rather have a beer with the Devil than a jealous, angry, vengeful God who would wreck your shit.

Now in the Judeo-Christian mythology, the Snake (Lucifer/Satan) told Eve to eat from the apple of the Tree of Knowledge to acquire knowledge previously kept away by Yahweh. Why would Yahweh purposely keep his own creations ignorant and stupid? Why is the supposed evil the only one who seeks to enlighten humanity?
Satan wasn't trying to "enlighten" humanity with knowledge. What he sought to do, was corrupt humanity with sin.
The world was perfect before the fall. Everything was in harmony, peace. Adam and Eve walked with God, and lived happily. They didn't have to work or anything. Animals didn't kill each other, but lived together in harmony as well.

ARs CTF on high ground is fucking retarded. too snowbally. and ordinarily, im not the kind of guy to complain about halo being unforgiving to bad players, but its game over the second one team gets map control with the warthogs and laser. beyond stupid. same with slayer ARs on any pseudo-big team map like sandtrap. if you know what you're doing it's a good idea to keep ARs on those maps, but most people run around like headless chickens so.

I worked on a lot of Machinima a few years ago. Helped out a lot of friends. Writing, forging, video editing. Not necessarily MY work, but I a lot is influenced from me in pre/post production. Take it with a grain of salt, a lot of my friends were... sub par... but heres the "best" of the bunch. Spoiler Spoiler Jesus, made this as a shitty thing for lulz and it got 200k views? Youtube, the fuck is wrong with you. Non-Machinima stuff was usually just private. Drawings, test animations, video editing shit, etc. I'd like to get more into drawing again, but don't really have good equipment for that now besides pen and paper. I appologize for not really having anything to show you, but I'm a 17 year old that's just done this stuff as a little side hobby for fun. Don't really keep a portfolio.

Which part of Reach's canon breaking story that pretty much had no plot until the end couple of missions, and with terribly written cliche characters with next to no development was you favourite part?
Campaign was fun gameplay wise. 10/10 on that. Story? lolno At least we got those "data drops" so Fall of Reach and Halo: Reach can actually exist together.

the pit is one of the most dangerous maps to pick ARs on. "Muh opinionz" map control is extremely hard to break because of the location of rockets/camo/ovies. and even with BRs, pit games often ended with less than 20 kills total. holy fucking shit, did you play with autistic people? it wasnt a good map for slayer at all. You are objectively wrong in every way imaginable. i cant speak for ce because ive never played Scrub. but in h3/reach/h4 you are absolutely beyond fucked if you have ar/magnum and the enemies have DMRs or BRs. GIT GUDreach is the worst offender honestly because the AR is such a weak piece of shit lolwut. Have you even played Halo 3? and the magnum cant begin to compare to the beyond retarded DMR in terms of pure power. Git gud. you tell me to play with friends more often as if you think i searched solo when i still played. lol. your friends need to git gud too it seems. Halo 4 is one of the easiest Halo's to date. to4 against a to4 in 50 high, or onyx, or whatever halo 4's pathetic excuse for a ranking system was, >Halo 4 >Meaningful ranking system Can't really use being paired with people better than you as an excuse. You're basically saying you need a crutch because you're not good enough to fight the enemy team with an AR and Pistol. While your at it, you should spawn with Rockets and full overshield to make it more fair too. it's always extremely difficult to break map control against a coordinated team if you dont spawn with a mid range precision weapon. Depends on the game/map and the skill level of your own team. A poor ranking system is more to blame, not you not spawning with a base weapon. you dont just "get map control back." i think you have fundamentally misunderstood the nature of the game. Yes you do. That's why it's called map control. You can gain or lose it. It's not the sandbox's fault the ranking system is broken/you're too scrub at the game to win.
