Have I had a net positive influence on you, throughout our communication? I'd like the most honest answer possible, please >>
Yes, I'm much more self-reliant and proactive as a result of our discourses. Also, I've had more time to think on how I'd like to present myself and now have something that coincides more closely with attitudes I'll have to exhibit for my goals (if I start really reaching for them).
That's, really encouraging to hear. To see someone overcome massive darkness, and have a more potent determination as a result, is a great blessing. Do you think you're on the right path towards reaching your ultimate goals?

Inbound self pity Spoiler Desperately clutching for the precious things and opportunities of your life as they recede from you, slowly, you think there's a chance but you're falling and fading into a maw of quicksand, a voice somewhere tells you everything you're doing to resist the inevitable is fruitless. Fading forever, you try to think of a response, but you come up empty. Fading forever. She's gone, and maybe you are too. The only peace is acceptance.

Intro to one of my stories, "Escaping Transcience" Spoiler ‘And so the colossus, that great old man of the sea, faced the scarlet sun dying in the arms of an amber, rosy dusk with brazen golden eyes.
Like a gargantuan monolith, he towered grimly above the glistening, sighing waves as they cradled him below amid the vast, forgotten maw of ocean. The giant puffed out his chest. He knew what he had to do.
Fixing his gaze upwards, his strong, straight nose greeted the sky as mangled white hair from his beard and head dangled backwards. Setting his eyelids shut, the colossus elevated the pillars of muscle that were his arms and brought tortured hands to a place where he could still feel his heart beating. He whispered something, and-‘

Watch something that fucks with your mind
Examples
"Paprika" "Mind Game"
or just look for one of those hidden gem movies. There's always a spectacular film out there waiting to be seen.
Man, I've been putting off Paprika for way too long for whatever reason.
It's really great, by the way it won't make any sense, it's like a dream in a way.

Also, Perfect Blue. It's also a Satoshi Kon film like Paprika, but it's more psychological.
OT: I only watch movies occasionally now, the forms of media I stick to are dwindling away progressively. I don't even watch much anime anymore... Or more like right now, anyway.
I am afraid to watch that movie, I have a feeling it's going to be like Angel's Egg >>

Studio Ghibli films
I forgot these in my previous response. I love Ghibli films (generally, Tales of Earthsea is a thing after all).
Ghibli films are food for the best part of the soul.
I actually wanted to see that movie, but most of the reviews said it's one of the worst films put out by Studio Ghibli. What's your opinion of it?
Honestly, I didn't mind it that much. I watched it with a friend and we made dinner so that enhanced the experience. The animation was beautiful and it was refreshing seeing scenery a little out of the ordinary for Ghibli films. However, the characters were lackluster. I don't have strong impressions of any characters and the villain is far from intimidating or engaging. It's like a painting with an impressionist background contrasted against a cubist foreground.
Miyazaki's son directed the film and after his father saw it he told him to stop making films. I'm glad he didn't listen though, because he went on to make From Up on Poppy Hill (with his father as co-writer) and I really enjoyed that. Miyazaki's a harsh critic of anime and I think that depreciates Earthsea's value as an animated film. Anything with a Ghibli moniker has an expectation of excellence, and since Earthsea wasn't it was penalized harshly, perhaps more than it deserves. If you like seeing other worlds it's not a bad choice, though something like Children Who Chase Lost voices has much similar appeal with better execution.
Ok, appreciate the opinion. I heard that story too about his son making it, and how it was a useful learning experience ultimately. I might check out that suggestion, since I'm out of anime films to watch. If it's from the creator of 5 Centimeters Per Second, then it's bound to have something great going for it. If by any chance you're out of anime films to watch, I'd highly recommend "Mind Game". It sodomizes in your mind in the most euphoric way possible >>

Usually with my stories, a vivid scene will pop into my head, and after that I attempt to think of something compelling off of that.
