At least in China & Russia they straight up tell you, you have no rights. Instead of making stupid terms in words to make people feel better.
Rights are man-made. No one has God/nature-given rights. Living under a government is like living in a fenced-in area. In the United States you may have a bigger area than say China, but in both countries you're fenced in. How much room you have to run around is just to keep the general population complacent enough that they don't riot/rebel.

Commie
But srsly there's no such thing as true freedom. There's certain rules you're supposed to follow (you don't have to, but in the interest of self-preservation you should).

They'll make sure nobody *flees* from the EU that way.
I don't think very many people want to Flee™ from the EU.
That's what the Russians used to be saying about other Soviet republics.
You can't seriously be comparing the EU to the USSR.

The dollar is finally #1 again?
From nations to the black market, the dollar is basically the international medium of exchange.

I don't know why politicians keep entertaining the inane idea of some sort of 'secession' from the union.
Something something reelection stunt

So an exemption being made for those who need guaranteed or priority access in the event of a natural disaster or other national emergency situation in order to coordinate things like relief and rescue efforts is bad because....?
Likewise, in connection with an emergency, there may be federal, state, tribal, and local public safety entities, homeland security personnel, and other authorities that need guaranteed or prioritized access to the Internet in order to coordinate disaster relief and other emergency response efforts, or for other emergency communications. "National emergency" isn't included in this section. This enters a huge grey area. What constitutes "other emergency communications"? Could, say, the Ferguson police department blackout communications during a protest in order to reserve the networks for law enforcement? There are a host of ways this can be abused, and the language is not clear enough to prevent such a scenario.

You should fly us all out there to help you build it. While you're at it call a reality TV network and get them to record the process. We'll make millions.
But dis shed is a one man job. I could build it myself, alone, in roughly three weeks. One week if I hurried and was sloppy.
I know, but with our help you could stretch that to over three years!

Fuck off, already. For fuck's sake.
You only believe in objective morality because deep down you know that without it life is meaningless for someone who doesn't care about other people or feel sympathy.

Section 302 1. The record is generally supportive of our proposal to reiterate that open Internet rules do not supersede any obligation a broadband provider may have—or limit its ability—to address the needs of emergency communications or law enforcement, public safety, or homeland or national security authorities (together, “safety and security authorities”).776 Broadband providers have obligations under statutes such as the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act,777 the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act,778 and the Electronic Communications Privacy Act779 that could in some circumstances intersect with open Internet protections. Likewise, in connection with an emergency, there may be federal, state, tribal, and local public safety entities, homeland security personnel, and other authorities that need guaranteed or prioritized access to the Internet in order to coordinate disaster relief and other emergency response efforts, or for other emergency communications. Most commenters recognize the benefits of clarifying that these obligations are not inconsistent with open Internet rules.
Fucking lol. Of course the one entity exempt from the laws is the same entity enforcing them.

Greece sent its cabinet to Moscow just before the bailout was set to expire. If it really does get as bad as it could, then Greece could find the promise of cheap natural gas, Russian FDI and maybe even tourism very alluring.
I completely forgot about the cabinet debacle. Shit. But if Greece setup stronger ties with Russia in exchange for them leaving the EU, would you resent such a decision (not its merits but its outcome)?

No, but I am in favor of encryption and certain sectors of the black market. Not to mention vague statements are vague.

Either Greece is sincere in this statement or they're purposely contradicting the EU just to get at them.
I honestly don't think they're moving toward closer relations with the Kremlin.
