Gaming / Re: >tfw KOTOR doesn't run on Windows 8
« on: June 09, 2015, 05:47:02 PM »
I got it to work after searching around on the internet for a few minutes.

Although I can't say whether or not it was easy since I'm pretty deft at editing .ini files and jury rigging fixes (Fallout and TES taught me well).
What did you change in the ini?

I've tried a few things and nothing seems to work.
Well, for one I'm running it in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 2).  I also have the resolution set to 1920x1080 in the [Graphics Options] section of the .ini file.  If your game is crashing before the intro movies, try deleting biologo.bik, leclogo.bik and legal.bik from the installation folder.
How do I run it in compatibility mode?

Did you buy the game from Steam?
Right-click swkotor.exe > Properties > Compatability.  The option should be there in a drop-down menu.
I don't think I have the files though because I got it from Steam.
Program Files > Steam > steamapps > common > KOTOR > swkotor.exe

On the day of my graduation practice it was raining and thundering and shit and I had to carry a double bass across two parking lots and a field to the orchestra room.  Worst day of my life.

Vape pens just put out water vapor and whatever scent/flavor they are.  Most of them smell rather pleasant.  It's good for my smoker friends because they don't have to step outside if they want to light up.

Paragraph (a)(1) of the revised definition
defines ‘‘technical data’’ as information
‘‘required’’ for the ‘‘development,’’
‘‘production,’’ operation, installation,
maintenance, repair, overhaul, or
refurbishing of a ‘‘defense article,’’

which harmonizes with the definition of
‘‘technology’’ in the EAR and the
Wassenaar Arrangement. This is not a
change in the scope of the definition,
and additional words describing
activities that were in the prior
definition are included in parentheticals
to assist exporters.
Paragraph (a)(1) also sets forth a
broader range of examples of formats
that ‘‘technical data’’ may take, such as
diagrams, models, formulae, tables,
engineering designs and specifications,
computer-aided design files, manuals or
documentation, or electronic media,
that may constitute ‘‘technical data.’’
Sounds to me like this is to serve the interests of gun manufacturers, in all honesty.

Yeah the whole opiates/acetomenophen issue is one I'm having a hard time coming to grips with in regard to my view that people should be able to do whatever they want with their own bodies.

I guess you could argue that giving someone those kinds of drugs is a violation of the NAP when they're unaware of the risks involved, but that argument is less than sound.

"Hey mom, look at what this fucking faggot posted on the internet."

"Haha- wait, what's a weeb?"

For anyone saying there should only be one, nah man.

Then nobody would be able to afford one.
That's not how it works.  If no one can afford it then how does the company make money?

Standard Oil was a monopoly because they undercut their competitors.  Everyone benefited from cheap gas and investors were happy.

Jesus you guys are illiterate when it comes to economic terminology and how different systems work.  Read a fucking Wiki article or something.

You could have a sentient being so intelligent and technologically advanced that it could literally be able to abolish suffering.
The only way to abolish human suffering in its entirety would be to abolish humanity.

LOL Remember when Kinder said he'd have a girl do a breathalyzer test before having sex?

What a permavirgin LOL.
To his defense, what sober girl would ever sleep with that fat fuck?

But who would sleep with him drunk when that fat fuck is shoving a breathalyser in their face?
Maybe she's into that kind of thing.
"Oh baby.  0.075.  I see you like living on the edge.  That just gets me sooooo wet."

In both the intended term and this perceived offensive one.
It's that thing where you get in a box with four midgets and cuddle for 30 minutes.
