Just bought a Switch, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Smash because I'm flying to Texas in a few days.
What should I have as a goal for this game? Like, how do I unlock new stuff? Anything I should try to aim for?
playing any of the major single player modes (classic, vs. matches, world of light) will unlock you characters vs. matches is the fastest but most boring, because you unlock a character for every match you play in a set order, but there's a 10 minute cooldown for each one (this timer can be reset by resetting the game itself or changing the game's language) classic allows you to have a little bit more fun, but is much slower haven't delved into the game's story mode at all yet, so i'm not sure about that one in terms of what you should "aim" for, are there any characters you want to play in particular? i can tell you the fastest way to unlock them Also, the standard controller will do fine, right? It's not a pro one but I assume the things that come with the Switch will be servicable for Mario Kart and Smash, at least for some casual play
i assume by standard controller, you mean the joycons yeah, they do the job, i personally prefer the gamecube controller because of familiarity

a few of them migrated over to bungle (that MLP offsite which gets more activity) a few of them just disappeared without a word, probably losing interest flee still posts, LC lurks occasionally
