Assad isn't that bad man. Look at his domestic and foreign policies before calling him the spawn of the devil.

IMO I think we could accomplish the kind of specialised posting by simply merging hobby/job stuff with serious. I mean, it would boost the PPH in serious and bring a more reasoned coffee room atmosphere with which new members could enjoy.

123
No it isn't. Get a job you fucking hippy.

"Strikes me that Fontaine wasn't overly inconvenienced by his own demise. On New Year's Eve, his wretched Splicers came streaming out of the poor houses and stormed the proverbial barricades! The dead rot in the streets, and Johnny and Janey Citizen are lined up round the block for Plasmids... anything to help fend off the rabble."

"If things weren't bad enough, it seems that even our water system's sprung a leak. Yep, that's right. The irrigation system in Arcadia is taking on sea water. I told Mr. Ryan when we were building this place; either you build her like a bathtub, or she's gonna turn into a sewer. "No, McDonagh," he said, "we're not gonna build no bathtub... we're gonna build Eden.""

"Rapture's changing, but Ryan can't see the wolves in the woods. This Fontaine fellow... he's a crook and a proper tea leaf, but he's got the ADAM, and that makes him the guv'nor. He's sinking the profits back into bigger and better Plasmids, building them Fontaine Poorhouses... more like Fontaine recruiting centers... 'Fore we know it, Bloke's gonna have an army of Splicers, and we're gonna have ourselves a whole heap of miseries."

"I begged Mr. Ryan to hand Fontaine Futuristics over to Atlas' boys as a peace offering, but the stupid sod won't listen to reason. 'Stead he's just splicing his mob up, giving them more and tougher Plasmids. There's an arms race on here in Rapture, but it's not about who can build the best guns and the biggest bombs. It's about who can become less of a man and more of a monster..."

"Ryan nationalized Fontaine Futuristics -- he owns it now, lock, stock and barrel. For the good of the city, he says. He'll break it up in due time, he says. I've resigned from the Council and lodged me letter of protest, but that's just pissing in the wind. It'll be war, I say... unless somebody stops Ryan, and right fast."

"The good people of Rapture didn't sign up to see us government-types shutting down shops, killing their owners... even with a ponce like Fontaine. But he brung it upon himself. 'Stead of copping it on the chin, bugger gets into his 'ead that he's gonna go down guns blazing. Who does he think he is? John bloody Wayne? We can get on top of this. We can. Here's what we do: we find Fontaine's will and make what was his go to where it was intended -- and not into the pockets of us that put 'im into the ground."

"Fontaine knew our blokes were coming. We were done over. Them Splicers come screaming out the woodwork. Burping fire, spitting ice... demons out of the Bible, they were. Never seen nothing like it. It wasn't a business he was building, it was an army."

And in the vain I must say:

You're taking those out of context or misquoting on purpose, Allah looks down on you.  Muhammad (pbuh), was being attacked by non-believers, so self defense was justified.   You can only read the Qu'ran in Arabic to truly understand it's magnificence.  It truly brings us muslims to tears.  Everything you say is mistranslation.  Allah Akbar.

Decapitating and maiming dead enemies seems a tad much for self defense.
You can talk. Yours kicked all the usurers out of a temple.

And he was absoloutely fucking right to do so.

I'm voting Green in spite of Meta.

Serious / Re: I really don't get how people can be anti-capitalist
« on: February 01, 2015, 02:00:34 PM »
The only fundamental error in capitalism is that it becomes increasingly easy for a tiny subset of the population to own and control the state the longer it runs on. Which is why communitarian, distributionist or localist capitalism are the better forms to follow.
That's a problem with the state, not capitalism.

I disagree as it is the capitalist system that allows this small subset to gain the power necessary to buy out the state. You can make laws that defend against corruption but their is not an inherent system in capitalism that constrains private interests from collecting resources over multiple generations until such a point that they have undisputed power over the state.

While I can't source it black slaves only became popular in America because huge percentages of the white slaves (typically from Ireland) kept dying from malaria.

So I wonder when traditional British values will change to eating Halal foods and following Sharia Law?

JK :)

While I can't say what new culture will be the one to develop I think it is pretty clear from the birth rates at this point that in about 60 years the local peoples will be in equal number to foreign descended populations.

Fuck you, Islamic feminism is a bigger contradiction that 'Communist State'.

Bro, but what about Communist Nazism?

Not much of a contradiction once you replace the cultural component of nazism.
uhm

no

I know this is b8 but communism is all about elimination of the state (in theory) while fascism is all about empowering the state.

How can into dictatorship of the proletariat

So goddamn cool ;__;

And Psy, the uhhh...Omnissiah guy. Something about it possibly being the Necrons interest.
Uh...Mars and shit. So that would possibly make the Omnissiah a 'bad' guy.

If im correct >.>

Hehe <.<

Yeah there is a bit of debate as to whether the dragon of mars, which is canon/confirmed to be a shard of the C'tan (The void dragon) is infact the omnissiah or whether it's the Emperor himself. Infact it's the same book that canonifies the Emperor as the omnissiah (When he basically heals a broken battle-mech with his touch, like jesus but 10000x cooler).

And considering it's also long established canon that the Emperor beat the living snot out of the dragon of mars and dragged it's sorry hide from earth to the noctis labyrinthus (Where it's currently sleeping). So I would personally lean towards the Emperor being the Omnissiah, because he is basically a god anyway and if he can do miracles like make a printer work when he needs it to, or heal a crippled mech with his hands then ye.

Buuuut there was also another book, done slightly later than this^ one. Where they supposedly uncover evidence that the Emperor is not the Omnissiah but decide to destroy it because going public with it would destroy the mechanicus in civil war and cripple the imperium along with it >_>

But, whether or not Titanicus is considered as canon as Mechanicus is up for a bit of debate. And the evidence could always have been the work of the Eldar, The deceiver or one of the chaos gods >_>

Talking about Mechanicus, I have a bone to pick with that book. In the final destruction of the loyalist forces at mount doom that Mehcanicus lady's forge it was heavily implied/stated that all of her creations went with them yet in regular 40K books stuff she made like the noosphere which was explicitly stated to just being available in her forge is everywhere.
