OT: Are you trying to 100% the game OP?

Yep. It's one of the only games that seems really fun to finish 100%.
It basically is, the game is the perfect balance of collectible items and size, the settings are unique and beautifully crafted.

I'm still salty about that. They can't give us Ice Climbers but they can sure shoehorn that failed attempt at a forced meme into yet another game that literally nobody wanted her in.

Meanwhile

idk man, every misstep Nintendo have ever made pales in comparison to the Koopalings' existence. 7 perfectly good Character slots in Smash and Mario Kart 8 wasted by those inconsequential characters. Shouldn't have appeared in anything outside SMB 3.
TBH I don't mind the Koopalings, my beef is having the babies in MK8, really?! Fucking baby rosalina?! Where the fuck is Luma?!

Is Nuts and Bolts actually that bad of a game?
People always talk shit about it but I've never heard actual complaints other than "Muh Classic Banjo and Kazoie", and the whole premise of building shit all besiege like sounds pretty cool TBH
Even if it wasn't a B-K title, it would still be a shit game. They recycle the same levels in excess of 30 times, the Vehicle building is the primary mechanic of the game, and the entire story is literally "drive here, here and here in this time frame to get this reward." Gameplay is genuinely more limited than it was 8 years earlier.

Skinning it as Banjo-Kazooie was a slap in the face to fans of the original 2 games, and don't even get me started on that god awful Lord of Games character. The only redeeming factor is the art style looks nice.
Also the gameplay is fucking horrendus, especially ones that have to do with collecting coconuts, oh seems like you were almost done but one of those robot monsters hit you and threw almost all of your coconuts off your vehicle lol better start all over again for the fourth time! (I got all the T.T.s including the DLCs I basically defeated the equivalent of hell.)

Going back to topic, I'm not quite sure what you're getting at.

Shitty connections, drop-outs and loading screens I understand, but wow, a game revolving about violent crime and car theft and people are actually doing that to other people online? No surprises there.
It annoys me even more when they could just easily go into passive mode, boom problem solved, no one can kill them now.

Hmmm.

So I want to use this to learn a decent bit of Unreal basics.  If it's too simplified in a technical stance, I'm not getting anything out of it and it'd make more sense for me to write my own simple game engine.  Definitely so with the dating sim, which I'd probably be too hot & bothered to get any work done anyways.

Since I'm not a great artist (and don't want to use this time to be making 3D art anyways) expect a lot of temp assets unless the project goes anywhere and either someone wants to make free stuff or I find time somewhere.  I'll leave the project files out for anyone that wants them.

Turn-based RPG would be pretty in-scope, but I think I'd be wasting a lot of time writing all the different game states and stuff.  What if I just took the isometric overworld and made the combat real-time?  I could also work with the hunger games theme, but I didn't really follow that meme when it was going on.
*cough* *cough*

I've never made a fighting game before, but they're definitely one of the most tedious genres to make, what with how exact all the hit boxes and frames need to be. I wouldn't have a problem trying, but it'd probably be unbalanced as fuck, and wouldn't have characters unless I can find someone willing to do animation for free.

Definitely try to keep ideas low in scope, considering the time and lack of resources for the time being.
How about digital hand drawn animations?
