after he didn’t listen to commands to drop the gun
He was on the phone, and didn't even know what was going on. Also, watch the video. They yelled at him, he spun around, and they shot him.
In that instance the officer(s) should be punished.

The OP basically knocked the answer pretty solid. So anyone blatantly disagreeing with it, obviously isn't serious.
The fact that Challenger is so pissy over such a casual attempt is entertainment enough for me.
That doesn't follow. If anything, it's quite bigoted, if in a benign way, to assume anybody with a different opinion to a well-stated argument "obviously isn't serious".

Then it seems I fooled you as well
Well, no, you didn't fool anybody regardless of whether you were serious. Making an unambiguous, emotionally-devoid statement like, for instance, "of course they are" doesn't leave any avenue for figuring it out. Me parodying Verbatim and Deci taking it seriously? Fooled. You making a very straight and blank statement? Not fooling anybody by any measure. It's just silly.

Yes.
I'd support the students if they were demonstrating for the proposals to be implemented. They're certainly allowed to have a say in their education.

Psychopathic murderers are perhaps among the select few "undesirables" for whom prison is really the only option available. Lacking ethical intuition certainly impacts your ability to make a moral judgement, but even I think psychopaths absolutely should be held legally responsible for their actions. I don't know if psychopaths are morally responsible, but I'm certainly biased.

And, name me a moral act which can be committed by a believer which can't be committed by a non-believer (prayer doesn't count).
This intrigues me the most.
Have you heard of Christopher Hitchens?
Is he the author of the challenge? He's my source for it, but I didn't want to mention it just in case he got it from somewhere else I'm not aware of.

Atheists can be good people too, but on average they're not. I think that's the key distinction.
Yeah. . . No. That's not true.

No, because as much I learn about politics, whether past, or present, I find that my own ideology improves based on the previous mistakes, erroneous moves or motives and misunderstandings.
That sounds suspiciously like political revisionism.

Why
Justification for beliefs is always nice.
I agree.
But why doesn't anyone but ME (the person with said beliefs) need justification?
Are you asking why nobody asks anybody else but you for justification? Or are you asking why the people with the beliefs in general are the ones asked for justification?

I expected the spoiler to say "you can't."
I should've put that. *sits here patiently waiting for somebody to reply* Even if you aren't religious or exceptionally conservative, feel free to try and take up the mantle.

This.

Can a post even be relevant without adding to the discussion?
If I were to say "Max is a shitposter" right now, it'd be relevant. It wouldn't, at all, add anything though.

This should probably be in gaming.

While the post in question may have been phrased abrasively, it was certainly relevant to the discussion.
Relevance =/= adding something to the discussion. The post by Noelle didn't really add anything. It was just a contemptuous and antagonising sentence. It's like sticking your heels into the ground and saying "this is the truth, what I speak", it's like she refused to acknowledge that religious people see it as having a spiritual element.

>Door >complaining about shitposting
holyshitlol
considering this quote came from the user who always demands shitposting be banned...
A point of view you don't agree with ≠ shitposting. Or even a point of view you find offensive ≠ shitposting.
Grow up.
If the post is of no use to the discussion then yes, it is a shitpost.
I agree with the quote, but the wording and application makes it a shitpost.
No, it doesn't make it a shitpost.
A shitpost does not have to be intentionally stupid or a joke. That would be an ironic shitpost.
So anything you don't like could be a shitpost.
That's literally the definition of a shitpost. The only real determinant is how many people consider what to be useless or inimical to discussions.

Right, this is about as obvious as it can possibly get.
I've had my fun.
Peace.

You think I'm entitled for not wanting parents who are objectively immoral?
The only thing I should've been entitled to was not being born, but my parents have robbed me of that too.
So people who complain about immorality are whiners? Are you completely fucking unaware that the imposition of suffering is inherently wrong?

Personally, I'd have everybody who does a stupid thing shot.
Like you ya little hypocrite.
Um, no. I only ever use logic to reach conclusions. That's how, y'know, people who aren't fucktards do it. My parents are objectively monsters, because not only did they give birth to me, they spanked me which adds even more to the net suffering, which is objectively, absolutely immoral.

SUPERIOR?!? YOU'RE A FUCKING BRAT! A SPOILED INGRATE! A FUCKING SELF ENTITLED PIECE OF SHIT! THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE AND YOU DIDN'T GET ENOUGH SPANKINGS AS A KID! YOU UNDISCIPLINED FUCK!
My parents slapped my ass constantly because they were abusive fucks. Personally, I'd have everybody who does a stupid thing shot.

If you were my kid, I'd beat the fucking shit out of you and force you to live out in the streets. I'd forever disown you.
So it's okay to beat your kid, but if a psychotic depressive kills a kitten during a psychotic break, they should be executed. Maybe you're worried your kids will turn out vastly superior to you, as I have done to my parents.

You should totally lock yourself in your room and never talk to her again! How dare she not do things exact for you! The nerve!
If I did that, though, I wouldn't be able to remind her how disappointing she is.
But you ignoring her existence will be a constant reminder of how much of a failure as a mother she is.
I like the way you think.
12627
« on: September 26, 2014, 02:49:14 PM »
That's no way to treat your mother you little brat.
Hey, it isn't my fault she's a moron.
Parents aren't entitled to unyielding respect.
She did push you out of her vag though. She could have just aborted you.
I wish she did. The world is full of suffering and atrocities, it's pretty much immoral to procreate. Plus, if she aborted me, I wouldn't have had to deal with her unbelievable retardation.

If I were to hazard a guess, without any real prior knowledge, it's probably to do with pretty much every country's counter-productive, monopoly-inducing, downright retarded intellectual property laws.
