Power to the states is exactly how we have been keeping gay marriage illegal in many states.
That really is a non-issue when it comes to federal over-reach.

I'm not even sure what to make of this, to be honest. I put this in Serious because it seems to be quite a controversial issue regarding how far art should be allowed to go. I'm not one to restrict art, but this is in bad taste. Especially since it was released around the time of the Kristallnacht anniversary.

Don't forget the Anarchism, too.
Although I think that was during the Oldfag Era, abruptly ended by DeeJ's Great White Knight Ban.
Do you have any bookmarks/screencaps of just how platinum white knight he went? I could do with some giggles >_>
No, unfortunately. I think the thread got deleted with the update, too >:|

When I first encountered you on bnet, you were pretty much ready to fire up the agitprop train and start up the communist revolution Mk2 (Ok, maybe not quite like that) Then you've kind of filtered over on towards more conservative/right wing style policies (Economics wise) and it just strikes me as a little amusing to see a commie turn capitalist like that >_>
Every young teen needs a cause to agitate about. By now I'm perfectly content to have that cause being keeping the governments grubby hands off my fucking money. I can fight it now so when I am paying taxes, at least I can say I tried. Although I think I've gone in an S shape, really. I've never been a full blown Austrian Schooling Ron Paulite but I'm certainly less opposed to government action than I used to be. I'm still not a fan of regulation, though.

Don't forget the brief Hitlerism...
I was interested in the ethics of totalitarianism more as a, *ahem* personal projectSpoiler Makes finger pyramid. I never supported Hitler, at any point. I'm not Kiyo.

There are a lot of threads about how people, themselves, identify but I think it'd be interesting to see how everybody views everybody else. So, think of a politically-minded user here and give them a label which you think is truly reflective, regardless of what they claim.
Door: Centrist, Liberal, Civil Libertarian, Political-atheist.
Kinder: Social Conservative, Protectionist.
Mad Max: Hardcore Democrat, Statist.
Slash: Centrist/Mild Libertarian.
Challenger: Populist.
Mr P: Confused Recovering Moderate Conservative.
Those are all the ones I can think to do at the moment.

My only concern with treating internet as a utility, is that ISPs will likely start charging you based on how much you use, rather than a flat monthly fee.
I don't see what's wrong with that.
Because it's nice to pay $x/mo and not worry about how much data I use. My house usually uses around 400gb a month.
Sucks to be you, then.
People who suck up more data should be paying more, that's just supply and demand.
But internet isn't a finite commodity like water, gas, etc. It's just 1's and 0's.
Bandwidth is definitely finite.
The ISP's infrastructure, yeah. An ISP's bandwidth should accommodate its customers, not vice versa.
I don't really know enough about it to understand how the supply mechanism works, however, so I'll defer to you.

I was split on net neutrality until I realised ISPs could create artificial supply shocks and raise the prices >.>
But yeah, if I were to prioritise government investment into a "top five" list, internet access would probably be there.
