http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2016/white_house_watchThe presidential race has grown a bit tighter in this week’s White House Watch survey.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds Donald Trump with 42% of the vote, while Hillary Clinton earns 40%. Thirteen percent (13%) still like another candidate, and five percent (5%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
This survey was taken Tuesday evening following FBI Director James Comey's announcement that his agency would not seek any indictments of Clinton despite her "extremely careless" handling of classified information while serving as secretary of State. Most voters disagree with Comey’s decision.
Trump pulled ahead of Clinton last week 43% to 39%, his highest level of support in Rasmussen Reports’ matchups with Clinton since last October. Support for Clinton remains below the level of support she received for most of June.
Rasmussen Reports will release new presidential race numbers with Libertarian Gary Johnson in the mix tomorrow morning at 8:30 Eastern.
Trump now earns 73% support among his fellow Republicans and picks up 13% of the Democratic vote. Seventy-nine percent (79%) of Democrats like Clinton, as do 11% of GOP voters. Among voters not affiliated with either major party, Trump holds a 20-point lead, but 33% of these voters like some other candidate or are undecided.

Young Stephen on the march.Stephen Crabb, a candidate in the Conservative leadership race, has pledged to create a £100 billion Growing Britain Fund for infrastructure projects including social housing and school buildings if he becomes the next Prime Minister.
Crabb, the current secretary for work and pensions, said that funding would come from issuing new government bonds after bond yields fell to a record low and brought down borrowing costs following Britain’s vote to leave the EU.
“The cost of borrowing is incredibly low. Spending government money on infrastructure has therefore never been more affordable,” Crabb said.

http://heatst.com/uk/us-uk-trade-bill-in-congress-just-one-week-after-brexit-vote/Despite claims that the US would banish Britain to the “back of the queue” if it dared to leave the European Union, Congress is already considering measures to boost trade with the UK.
A bill to lock down current trading arrangements, and fire the starting gun on a bilateral deal, was introduced to the US Senate yesterday.
The United Kingdom Trade Continuity Act mandates the US to keep trading on exactly the same terms after Britain leaves the EU.

With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children, England mourns for her dead across the sea. Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit, Fallen in the cause of the free.
Solemn the drums thrill; Death august and royal Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres, There is music in the midst of desolation And a glory that shines upon our tears.
They went with songs to the battle, they were young, Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow. They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted; They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.
They mingle not with their laughing comrades again; They sit no more at familiar tables of home; They have no lot in our labour of the day-time; They sleep beyond England's foam.
But where our desires are and our hopes profound, Felt as a well-spring that is hidden from sight, To the innermost heart of their own land they are known As the stars are known to the Night;
As the stars that shall be bright when we are dust, Moving in marches upon the heavenly plain; As the stars that are starry in the time of our darkness, To the end, to the end, they remain.

Boris Johnson, former mayor of London, is running with the support of 24 Tory MPs.
EDIT: Boris has announced he will not be officially running; instead, Michael Gove will be the foremost Brexiteer running for leader.
Stephen Crabb (my choice), working-class Welshman and rather moderate, is running with the support of 13 Tory MPs. Interestingly, the MP for my constituency (also working-class) is Crabb's favourite to be Chancellor--Sajid Javid.
Theresa May, Home Secretary who stayed quiet during the referendum, is running with the support of 6 Tory MPs.
Liam Fox, on the Right of the party, is running with the support of one MP.
And Andrea Leadson, Jeremy Hunt and Nicky Morgan are all running with--so far--no MPs in support.
If you want to know who the MPs supporting them are, just ask.

http://www.thenews.pl/1/10/Artykul/258994,New-EU-superstate-plan%E2%80%99-causes-alarmThe foreign ministers of France and Germany have proposed creating a “European superstate” limiting the powers of individual members following Britain’s referendum decision to leave the EU, Polish public broadcaster TVP Info has reported.
The document in which the proposals appear is to be presented to Visegrad Group countries meeting in Prague on Monday by German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, TVP Info said, adding that the document was an "ultimatum".
TVP Info said the proposals would mean members of a superstate would in practice have no right to their own army, to a separate criminal code or a separate tax system, and would not have their own currency.
In addition, TVP Info said, member states would lose control over their own borders and procedures for admitting and relocating refugees.
Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski told TVP Info: "This is not a good solution, of course, because from the time the EU was invented... a lot has changed.
“The mood in European societies is different. Europe and our voters do not want to give the Union over into the hands of technocrats.
“Therefore, I want to talk about this (in Prague) -- whether this really is the right recipe today in the context of a Brexit."
Martin Schaefer, a spokesman for the German foreign ministry, said: "Berlin does not want superstate, it wants a better Europe."
Meanwhile, Waszczykowski said later on Monday that the document by Germany and France was drawn up before the Brexit decision. He said it included "old ideas" and "does not take into account what happened during the... referendum." LOL DONT WORRY GUYS NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY ISNT REALLY AN ISSUE

And says, "What are you in here for?"
The first Russian replies "I was five minutes late for work. They charged me with being a social parasite, and threw me in the Gulag." The second Russian says "I was five minutes early to work. They charged me with industrial espionage, and threw me in the Gulag."
"What are you in here for?" they both ask the third Russian.
He replies, "I was on time to work, and they charged me with having a capitalist watch."

Well, there you go.The Cabinet agreed this morning there would be no second referendum. David Cameron will spell that out in his Commons statement this afternoon.
They don’t want false hopes or complications beyond the ones already visited on the country.
Oliver Letwin is overseeing the “scoping” exercise on what is and isn’t possible in a negotiation. The idea of Michael Gove being lead negotiator dates back to when, a touch unrealistically, he and others on the Leave side thought they could persuade David Cameron to stay put for longer.
Boris Johnson just emerged from Downing Street to state again his support for a points based immigration system combined somehow with access to the single market.
One Tory MP said it was more of Boris Johnson’s cake policy, “pro having it and pro eating it” and he would have to “sort himself out.”

There's been a lot of shit in the news recently, and Charlie's post made me think about how it's bleeding through to other countries.
Don't believe it. Remain voters who are happy at the result is 4%, while Leave voters who wanted to stay sit at 1%.
That petition for a second referendum is also being investigated for fraud.
This has been a British politics public awareness announcement.

You've all been duped into thinking it because of shitty journalism.
The whole "We'll put the membership fee into the NHS" claim was made by Vote Leave, which he was not a part of. Leave.eu, a separate campaign, was where Farage operated in the run-up to the referendum.

Rumours circulating Downing Street that he might walk out and announce his resignation. I doubt it, personally, but it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong over the past 24 hours.
Hopefully Osborne goes.
