The Flood / Re: Opinions on manual transmission
« on: January 22, 2015, 02:02:19 PM »
I don't get the benefits of using manual, someone told me you can go faster in a car with manual transmission, but for the average person, that doesn't really seem like it matters considering how fast cars can go.
with enough practice on a manual, it's more efficient on gas if you're quick on your gear shifts.

once you learn it once, you never forget it, and it's a lot better of an experience for driving, and requires you to pay more attention to your car, and how fast it's going. with an automatic, it's too easy to stop paying attention to your tach and speedometer.

The Flood / Re: Body cam shows events leading up to rookie cop's death
« on: January 18, 2015, 06:07:40 PM »
I can attest to the horrors that a cop deals with, my friend's father used to be a cop, and he got called to a job where he had to go break up a drug party, and when he was walking through, he noticed a child on the ground, silent. he picked up the baby and it's skull caved in his hands, the kid was dead, and the drunk fools had apparently been throwing the baby against the wall because it wouldn't stop crying. nothing can prepare you for that shit man, and it changes you. his dad was completely silent for the next month, and only told his family when my friend was moved out and they were discussing his job

What happened, if you don't mind me asking?

This might seem action-movieish of a reaction, but I probably would've gunned down every last one of those fuckers if I could.
the couple got 10 or so years in prison, his dad was traumatized and as I said, he was silent about it, he didn't want to recall it until about 15 years later.

« on: January 18, 2015, 06:04:19 PM »
A light spank to teach a kid that what they're doing is wrong is not child abuse, it's used to shock the child into realizing that what they are doing is wrong. there's a difference between beating a kid with a god damn belt and a spanking once in a while when a kid does wrong.

My question is how frieza would even be able to fight goku, or any of them? I mean he was barely able to go toe to toe with a normal Super Saiyan, and he was taken out in a matter of seconds by trunks as well, how the fuck is he still going to be relevant?
but Frieza had attained an overwhelming power-up!

“Allow me to show you… my further evolution!”

so an ass pull power up to make him relevant? OK.

Serious / Re: Should we stop Iran from getting the bomb?
« on: January 16, 2015, 02:27:37 PM »
Why shouldn't they have it? Should they not be on an equal playing field as many other countries?
Considering it's a fundamentalist Islamic regime, despises Israel, has supported attacks against America and could spark an arms race in the region. . .

No. . .

No it fucking shouldn't.
Should they not be able to have similar weapons as their enemies? It's like using a bow-and-arrow against a sniper rifle.
why the fuck would you give the people you're trying to kill a weapon to defend themselves? the whole fucking point of a war is to conquer, not to play fucking games and get yourself killed because you were stupid enough to let the enemy get a hold of the tech you have. Fairness has no place on a battlefield, you take every opportunity to fuck over the enemy as hard as you can until they submit or are slaughtered.

We aren't at war with Iran.
we aren't, but the allies in the area are at war with the people Iran support. you give them nukes, and the allies in the east go down.
