I think I'll be Mythic by then.
This, although I don't know if I should set the bar that high for myself.

And he's mostly pushing the same 3 buttons over and over again.
There's a lot more to it than that.

Is playing piano a sport? Is speed sketching a sport? Those are 2 skills on par with this l
No, because those aren't competitive in the way that gaming can be.

Like I've said before, if chess or poker is a sport, I don't see why gaming couldn't be considered one too.

Any fat fuck can sit on their ass and push buttons on a controller slightly faster than somebody else.
Really? I'd love to see you do something to this level.
YouTube
Also I don't know why people refer to professional gamers as being fat, I don't think I've seen one that was over weight.

If you want to build up muscles in your fingers you would need to use one of those exercisers or do something like finger push ups.
Not at all. Coming from a musician, I can tell you that you can definitely build muscles in your hands by performing complex tasks with them. On top of that, you need to build up different muscles in your hands for different tasks. Using one of these is not going to make it so you can do anything physically exerting with your hands except for squeezing things.

Walking lunges 3x12-15
leg curls 4x8-15
Leg extensions 4x8-15
straight leg deadlifts 10-8-6-10

Off you go!
What is this code you speak in?

Gaming / Re: Is Esports a legitimate sport?

It's not a sport since there's nothing that involves "physical exertion". There's skill but there's nothing that involves  physical activity so it's not going to fall under the term sport like what football does.
They use some physical exertion in their hands. They type incredibly fast, which requires a bunch of training, and even risk injuries while playing.

Physical exertion is "the activity of exerting your muscles in various ways to keep fit", So you can argue that they need to build up muscles in their hands to play like they do. Now, I'm not saying that it's on the same level as 'regular' sports, but it can fit the definition of a sport.

I'm debating on whether to get it or not. The game looks fun but I'm cheap and don't really have anyone to play it with.

I don't see a problem with this. He's being given a chance to live and act like a person rather than an animal locked up in a cage. In my opinion, learning could have more of an impact than just being punished.

Serious / Re: A robot just passed the self-awareness test
« on: July 18, 2015, 07:51:47 AM »
I thought it had to pass the Alan Turing test or something like that, not it's own test that a robot was programmed for

I mean it's sorta interesting, but there's clear bias in this "test" that warrants further investigation before I'd agree that we have the first truly self aware robot/AI.
If I'm not mistaken, isn't the Turing test just to see if an AI can fool a human by acting like one? Not proving that it's self aware. I think we have automated telemarketers that could pass the Turing test.

Well they did bring something unique.

Also bassists must think alike seeing as I would probably bring a cape too. Was it an actually cape or just a towel/ bed sheet cape?
It was like a Halloween Batman cape
I'd wear a plain red one myself.

I just ordered some Transmetropolitan and Halo stickers and a shirt. My sister put a feminist sticker on our car without my consent so I figured I would do the same with this.
