But that's the big problem here, that's what happened with Kiyo, she got used to it, the staff got used to her.
And Cheat didn't let her go the numerous occasions she should have been, which ended in a crescendo of shitflinging and flames.
I don't think changing the staff frequently is a good thing, but not changing it at all just because you're "comfortable" when things need to be changed, just ends badly.
Well, that is why Cheat didn't just say "They're all Ninjas!" and leave it at that. This is the test for the rest of the staff, and the community, to see how they do and if they'd make a good fit.
Which is perfectly reasonable and I don't begrudge anyone for it. But leave them around for too long and of course they'll get used to it and start performing fine. And at that point it'll be too late to say "sorry, but I'm axing you" without massive butthurt. Maybe it's because there's three of them rather than one or two with a proper staff compliment. But there was never the sort of... I don't want to say "backlash", but that's what I'm getting at, at a new mod before. Neither was there a lot of silly and bad desicion making in such a short timescale. At least, not since Psy and LC joined the mods. Spoiler I mean that's as far back as I can remember new mods, not that those two caused problems. I think I've gotten across everything I intended to. I'd rather not continue this here if there's no reason. Might as well let this thread die and PM me if anyone has anything more to say or if I'm wanted to say more.

Moderating this place isn't as easy as some might think. Let's cut the trial mods some slack.
I'd be all for cutting slack if they didn't consistently be appearing to jump the gun and make bad calls, nevermind the fact of my post above. I'm not about to go easy on them when they fuck up, the point of them being "trial mods" is to see how they do. So far, it's poorly. Of course people aren't going to go easy on them.

Why are you so adamant on getting something you can go other places for? Nevermind that a board opens up here periodically where you can discuss it. Whenever private groups get added, I'm sure you can make one centered around porn, but for now, unless the Cheat and the staff give the go ahead, fully blown porn threads are "haram" as Psy puts it.
