I say we at least give it a try. I mean in the old Flood we had one board where we had our serious and stupid topics. Worked fine back then, we should give it a shot again.
Honestly I'd lock the Serious board completely (temporarily) and see how serious discussion goes in The Flood.
In the old Flood, religion talk was haram. For obvious reasons. The layout we have here makes nothing but sense, it's the userbase that needs to grow up.
