Serious / Re: An interesting thing about Satan and God« on: October 12, 2014, 03:11:50 PM »It's still a choice.Serve God or burn.. geese.. those are fair options. What if I want to be a ghost that can manipulate the physical realm and travel the Universe at fast, ghostly speeds? Where's that option!?We're given the choice to serve god. The angels weren't.How could Lucifer fight for freedom if it wasn't given to him like it was to us? That twisted logic. And also, we had to fight for our freedoms (We had to fight off Tyranny). Are we any different than Lucifer then?Out of spite.I've always thought how is Satan such a bad being if all he does is punish bad people? Why would a bad person punish bad people? 5743

It does provoke positive outcomes as it builds self control. They're not even related to one another. Are you seriously trying to tell me that a Church encouraging celibacy among the clergy isn't, in any way at all, linked to the crimes we saw. I'm not even saying they're the proximate cause. I'm saying such encouragement will never provoke positive outcomes, and it certainly contributed to the issue. You fail to realize that the entire point of being a priest or nun is to give up worldly desires and live for the faith. 5754

The systematic suppression of natural urges and human emotion will never result in anything good. 5755

I disagree with the second.
The point of celibacy is to show the person has self control. Nobody ever said it was wrong for a priest or nun to procreate, however it is their belief that they weren't put on the planet to have a family but rather spread the word of their god. 5760
