Okay but that's kind of bullshit if that situation doesn't apply to you. What about people who are kicked out and disowned by their family? What if all of someone's family died? What if they assaulted/abused you? Not that I'm saying that someone in that situation should OD, but rather that notion of importance over effort of the people who gave the effort if they don't want anything to do with you anymore or if they're all just dead.
I have to add that she OD'd by accident and had no intention of going out.

In cases where you were abused or disowned, you should keep going just out of spite, to piss off those who wronged you. They would probably be delighted if you end up in a hole somewhere, forgotten. Fuck 'em, keep on living.

In case everyone who cared about you died, idk.

I guess it all comes down to - what is the meaning of your life? If you don't know yet, then make it a goal to find that meaning for yourself.

If you really do not know what to do, make yourself at least useful for others or your country.
Enlist in the army, volunteer in homeless shelters / soup kitchens, hospitals, language schools.

If you cannot build your own life, help someone else with theirs.

I've seen people I knew die before their time due to car accidents or OD's. The latter especially pissed me off.

Spoiler
Her father came back home one day (he was a marine sailor and would go away for months sometimes) to find out that his daughter (age four) was dumped in a foster home and the mother fucked off to another country. They were not married.

He spent about a year getting custody rights from the state. As you can imagine, being a single father who leaves home for months at a time would have problems proving he is capable of caring for a child.

Eventually they agree to let him get his own daughter back but regular visits were required.
He got a different job, so he could spend the required time at home and also got a babysitter.

Fast forward a few years, the girl is sixteen and her cunt friends start playing with drugs, she very quickly deteriorates and ODs not long after.

What an absolute waste of life. I can't even imagine what the father must have felt.

^ The point I'm making above is that someone out there put effort into your life. Someone out there cares. Do you really want to shit on them like that by offing yourself?

I often think about what it would be like if some of the people who died prematurely - would still be around today.

Unless you really feel like you have 100%-ed life, you have a reason to keep living another day. Or if you feel like there is no reason to keep going anymore, you know how empty it feels - make it your mission to make sure the people around you never feel like that.

Random rambling in the spoiler.

The timing of this thread is very interesting. My mom just brought all of my stuff into my house (yeah, actually managed to buy a house last year) anyway, there was a lot of stuff from school and uni and a bunch of old photos and BD cards from friends and a bunch of valentine cards from my ex and some other stuff from my past. So much stuff happened yet I feel like I just graduated from school a couple of years back...

2014. It was my final year in university. I met an awesome person that year who helped me get back up after a rather tough breakup. Its crazy how things happen and life makes two people meet like that.

I don't know how, but I seem to have contracted athlete's foot while working at home for a year and living alone since October.

HOW?! I either have some dirty house troll wearing my shoes/socks or I picked it up in some Airbnb in December and it took this long to show symptoms.

Wash your feet lmao

Oh btw - the reason the treatments were semi-effective was because it wasn't a fungal infection after all. It was an allergic reaction to - I'm still trying to figure out what exactly. Either soya or some food additive. It's fine for most days and then suddenly I would get these flare-ups of itchy heels, knees, forearms and scalp. Been on a restrictive diet and I have found foods that definitely do not cause it, now to find the one that does...

I miss everything about education aside from stress

Like what
Spending 5 days a week with friends.
Learning some cool stuff, attending labs, getting to understand the cool stuff learned prior, meeting new people, working on projects you want to work on.

Sadly constant stress makes it hard to enjoy the above things.

Graduated back in 2015. I miss everything about education aside from stress. Sadly, you can't have one without the other.

F2P games don't need Gold anymore FYI.
What would you recommend?
D2, Warframe, Warzone.

30% of Ireland now vacc'd. We might actually have a normal summer this year, also country-wide travel will be allowed next week.

So Boris allegedly said "let the bodies pile in their thousands" during talks for the second lockdown.

For any other politician this would be a resigning matter, but it comes at a time when people whose sole personality trait is "alcoholic" will be willing to defend Bozza because they can finally go to the pub again.
Isn't UK 60%+ vacc'd ?

So I had $100 in Bitcoin on Coinbase for the longest time, but because the price of BTC is so high right now it keeps only going up and down by like two dollars. So I moved all of it onto HotBit and traded it for 97million Shiba Inu tokens and I’m already up another $100 lol.

cool, where can majora's mask be legally purchased on my PC and when did nintendo greenlight this
Buy a copy on ebay and then it's completely legal to own a copy of the ROM.  Ta-da!

There is no-where you can buy Majora's Mask and have it contribute money to Nintendo's bank account.
that's a commonly circulated meme, but unfortunately, not how it actually works—you could argue from an ethical standpoint that it's okay to do it that way, and i wouldn't be able to argue with you, but there's no law that says "it's okay to steal something if you already own one copy of it"—you could have a million apples, and it still wouldn't be okay to steal one more apple (if anything, that only makes it worse, because why would you need one more apple at that point)
Its more like, you want apple juice but all you have are apples. The law would says - if you have a raw apple, its illegal to squeeze the juice out of them, only {Publisher} is allowed to make apple juice out of apples.

C'mon man, I have all I need to make the juice but some tie-wearing (no offence, Flee) nerd prohibited it.

Also fuck Apple and their anti-repair policies.

As soon as they stopped selling it themselves, that's the green light.

I'm not sure if its available digitally through their store though.
yes it is, but that's not how it works at all—that's just how you internally justify it
You see, you are working with the predicate that all laws concerning this issue are perfect.

They are not. They are made to serve publishers.
They should all be reviewed and we really need to get the opinion of the original creators on this.
Once a company stops selling a product and there is no way to buy directly from the publisher or developer - are you ok if someone was to acquire a free digital copy of your product and if not, in what circumstances would they be ok with that?
If I buy a used copy first?
If X amount of years passes after the last sale date?

not me, but a couple of my friends have a PS5, and they've been having a good time with them—apparently haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are the real deal

meanwhile, i don't know anyone with a sexbox, and i'm pretty sure most people don't even understand that it's a next gen console—they Wii U'd themselves pretty hard with the marketing on that one (perhaps intentionally as an excuse to exit the console race, which they've supposedly been trying to do for a while now or something)
I've heard positive things about the controller too. Though apparently there are some reliability issues?

The 'series' name is stupid. It doesn't sound good, its not easy to pronounce and there are already X and S Xbox-es.
If MS is moving away from consoles and will just be a service provider, I would only be slightly surprised.

Join the PC Mustard Race my friend, never look back.
I actually did, for this gen.
HL Alyx was the game that made me switch and the fact that Infinite will be on PC, add to that the price increase of next-gen games and paying for online play... Things just fell in place.
Built a PC in October and it's been a blast, though I still play on my X1X.
The timing could not be better either. Not only did the supply dry up right after, but Brexit screwed up a lot of local suppliers here. I pity anyone who is trying to build one right now or upgrade.
