Actually some of the streamers are partnered with Twitch, so that makes it a real job.
I don't think you should rely on it as your only stable source of income. Why are people surprised about cops using lethal force in USA? Everyone is potentially as lethal as a law enforcement officer and they (cops) won't take any chances. If they feel you're a threat - your ass will be pumped full of lead. Same logic applies to citizens with guns, you don't want to go South.
