With BLM - its like there is an implication that all other lives are on some absolute level of justice while black people are the only group that is still mistreated in this world and that is definitely not true. There is cross-species slavery, genocides, abuses of power etc.

I think my problem is that I'm looking at this localized issue (USA) from a global scale, hence the concept disconnect.

I talked about it in the covid thread in /serious; Since the borders are all closed, we (gf and I) had to meet in Ukraine. We'll stay here till mid January.
If it wasn't for the pandemic, I would have invited a bunch of friends and family over to my house. Now, no one can visit and I don't want to bring harm to my older relatives - so I haven't seen them for almost a year now.


Planning to cook up a feast for New year's night. Not doing anything for Christmas as usual. Plenty of beer with crackers and chips tho.
