You waited too long to meet her. If she kept making excuses you should have cut her off right there. The thing is you were too interested in her to cut her off because she was your only option, desperation does that.
The more options you have the less interested you will be in all of them.
Also stop focusing so much on your "career" as holding you back man, it's like you're defeating yourself before you even step up to the plate.

 Serious post: It's a huge over exaggeration. Irl i am not nearly as cocky or narcissistic as I am online. I am a very nice/humble dude irl and have been applauded for my humility (srs). It's fun to act like it though. However I am very confident and deep down inside I do think i'm pretty cool because i've told myself i'm pretty cool so much. It's almost like my subconscious mind changed directions with all the positive reinforcement i've given it
