My town is overrun by these fucks walking around in oversized black hoodies shooting anyone they feel "disrespects" them. Yesterday a random 60 year old man was shot dead by some gangsters I went to highschool with. They just got in his car and shot him and then took his wallet. This stuff happens all the time here, makes me so fuking angry.
Is gang violence a problem where you live?

I am having intense feelings that are similar to hypomania right now, at 3:30am I feel like I am on top of the world, and nothing can bring me down. I have a ton of energy, feel incredibly overconfident, and I have the strongest urge to just go out and SUCCEED and take on whatever the world throws at me. I honestly feel like a god right now, and I know this isn't just normal confidence. All of these feelings came in a rush out of nowhere about 20 minutes ago. I'm a little scared right now, not because of something I might do but because I don't want these feelings to go away, almost like I dread the moment where this overconfidence leaves me  No discussion value but it's 3:30 so who cares

For those who don't know Kanye, his mother was the most important person in his life. So much of his work is dedicated to her. Hello For years I have read through tons of articles and firsthand accounts on meditation, and the numerous benefits that come from it. Focusing on the present moment, being able to concentrate better, and the ability to remain calm in any situation would all be very beneficial to my life and many of yours as well. The mind is everything. Mediation gives you greater control of your mind, it can help rid of anxieties and it even lowers blood pressure. I'm finally going to make a full commitment to start mediating, which is why I am making this thread. I will be mediating at least 30 minutes everyday. To start off I will be listening to 7.5 Hz Theta waves for about 10 minutes Then I will listen to a guided mediation for about 10 minutes Then I will do a mindfulness mediation for about 10 minutes which involves -Breathing in through the nose -Breathing deeply into the diaphragm -Focusing only on breath, not allowing any other thoughts to come into my mind. If they do come, you acknowledge that there are thoughts there and let them pass. I've meditated before and have felt great but I could never stick to it, so I will post in this thread every now and then to look back on my progress. Do you have experience with mediation? What are your opinions on it?

For some reason though she caught my eye very quickly, and over the last two months we've become a lot closer. I am so damn attracted to this girl for reasons I cannot explain. Nothing extraordinary in the face or body, doesn't really wear much makeup, she's kinda reserved and shy, just average. I do not get tied down/catch feelings easily, and have hooked up with girls far hotter than her, but I cannot understand why I am so attracted to her?! i've been wanting to post about this all day so i might as well make a thread nomsayin
yesterday at a party a big group of gangsters(uninvited) started causing trouble and stuff, so the owner and friends(who are my friends too but not really close) tried to get them to leave. well things were getting tense and they all were lined up in the back yard ready to go crazy. anyways, it's dangerous because most of these shitheads carry guns and don't give a shit who they kill, so nobody really wants to aggravate them more.
not too sure how it happened but i remember turning around and see 3 of them rush and start flinging a guy down and start beating him pretty bad. i run over and see its my friend, and he tries to get up and they smash a fukin bottle on his head.
swear i've never been that angry in my life brahs. i couldn't even think, i was about to rush into the group and die swinging, so much adrenaline pumping through me at that moment. More friends came outside and we got in front of the gangsters lined up like a scene out of Troy or something. they left right after that and my friend is okay but i still feel angry about it, even went to the gym on an off day to blow off some steam.

Just thinking about how much I love my dad and how great he is, even though I don't show him the love all of the time
He came to the U.S at 13 being poor and speaking no english, goes on to become a doctor. Has always emphasized hard work to my brother and I, and has provided our family with anything we could ever ask for. He's very understanding and is heavily into self improvement(probably where i get it from). Gives me lots of books on success/mindfulness/psychology, and has learned 2 instruments in the last 3 years. He could squat 525 pounds at age 21 and has a neat collection of old muscle cars. Hope to be half the man he is

You know the kind, they have scary clowns and little girls crawling backwards and shet.
There are also two other attractions including a horror carriage ride through the forested area and a zombie paintball game thing.
Only problem is i'm a huuuuuge poosay when it comes to scary stuff(come at me). Ghosts, zombies, evil little girls, they all terrify me haha. I don't watch any scary movies because of this.
How do I get past my fears and look like a tough guy in front of my friends/girls we go with?

Probably the silliest fear but it's holding me back so bad. I have a friend who pretty much can guarantee me a spot at a very popular coffee chain, but I'm terrified that I'll mess up, make a fool of myself, not learn the ropes quick enough, be ridiculed ect.
Any help on how to get over this?
