I'm not one for new year resolutions.
Neither am I.

But will your quality of nonsense increase or stay the same?
Maybe it'll decrease, but increase in quality, or maybe it'll just decrease, but I've no idea. I don't like trying to make out emotions based on nothing, and no information on what's going to happen.

I know for a certain that I'm going to mature in some way, but anything else is only speculations that are yet to be speculated by me, but I'm not ever going to do it. It's a waste of time honestly.

So cal lightman is a genius deductionist that with the help of his companion Loker solve crimes in London. They live in an apartment on 221 b Bakerstreet, which incidentally is the apartment next to Cpn Spock. Together with Cpn Spock and Moriarty, they solve the riddles ad puzzls that Benedic Cumberbatch throws at them, while eating ice cream and pizza beause thats cool food.

10/10 series I recommend it to anyone with a fantasy of romantic relationships. Beca, ause the Lightman's light shines far, and touches everyone ;-)

How is that relevant to logic? I get emotions, and psychology, but why can't we just ignore that and go to logic?

The Flood / Re: If you want people to follow you
« on: January 06, 2015, 12:08:49 PM »
the people who seek to become leaders are often grossly unsuited to be leaders of men.
Yet they are the ones able to, and willing.

What if I were to teach people like you who don't want to lead, or don't know how to do it properly? You'd lead, and you'd lead with what you believe in. My goal is to get the right people to understand how to lead, so that they can lead, and not the wrong people who are able to.

Not really though, I'm just trying to learn this information by writing it down, and exploring it a bit on my own. Maybe it'll get stuck in my Semantic memory (also a word that I'm trying to learn).

Edit: All the while letting anyone tag along in my learning.

The Flood / If you want people to follow you
« on: January 06, 2015, 12:04:41 PM »
they have to do it for themselves. They have to follow you, for their own sake. You lead, and they follow; but you're not telling them to go in that direction. You go in that direction while telling people why you do it, and they will follow you.

"I have a dream", and not "I have a plan". Give me a product to sell, and information about it, and I will give an example if you're interested, but otherwise I'm pretty much done here.

This is why stupid things get followers. I don't want my child to get autism. I believe that children shouldn't expose themselves to potential danger, and I sure as hell won't do it.

There's not much hitting the Neocortex here, but rather the Limbic section.

Whenever you hold useful knowledge that many other don't know about; it could be completely forgotten. Either everyone who knows of it bring it with them to their grave, or nobody gives a fuck about it. What does it matter to you? Well, without other people, developing the knowledge, and seeing how it can be used more and more won't be as easy. Sharing knowledge is good, and we've been doing it for all of these years through the human history. It's why we humans have evolved so well.

During the dark ages, people didn't share as much, and we were left in darkness, but then people started sharing their ideas, and knowledge; and all of a sudden there was development, and standards as well as efficiency.

OH! That explains everything. You see, when I made this thread, I was thinking about how you didn't really show much feeling toward the ending, so I made the thread so that I could figure out why that was.

Now I know that you thought that way because you hadn't finished it. Thanks for telling me your answer, and disregarding what the thread says, as if the whole thread is solely for your sake.

Show spoilers, duh.
Because just for once I want the anti-hero to fething win.
Death Note really seemed like Light was going to fuck shit up, but no. No you can't have someone purging the earth of the scum :/

On top of that, the show nosedives when L gets BTFO. It killed off the Holmes/Moriarty thing they had going and the whole justasplanned and replaced it with some precocious little whelp and the CIA. Light turns into a complete nutter and it's just... ugh.

Failed potential in my opinion.
Literally the only good thing about it's ending was that it spawned these.

Yeah, I never actually managed to finish it.
I watched up to the bit where Near(?) is trying to be L and I just gave up after several episodes of dissatisfaction. I read the ending on a wiki/watched the original clip rather than the MADs and I was glad I didn't waste more time finding out that it ends badly.

Just, ugh.

I remember someone on Bnet, Burrito I think, saying that the film takes a different path and doesn't end in the same manner so that might be watchable at some point, but ehhh.
No, it's not failed potential. It used its potential to the fullest, but chose to be realistic, and thus provided a much more hated version that I'm content with.

It'd have been kind of disgusting if Light would've been able to remain his cool-headed- and full-potential self.

Time to study psychology if you fail to realize my point.
*in my opinion*
Pretty sure that was stated clearly.

Not for me, I think it would have made for a better story. I wouldn't care if it went into the realms of stretching the imagination where he took over the planet/died trying. But instead he dies shrieking like a cat in a shitty warehouse. If he'd kept his head, but been still been taken down with some sort of outsmarting plotline then that would have been much more satisfactory than him just going UUUUUUTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Pretentious and irrelevant.
He basically did take over the world, with all the world leaders stepping down for what he told them, and the people rooting for him.

They both tricked each other, but Near countered Light's counter attack. He chose the day, because he had everything that he needed, and a direct confrontation was the key to securing the catch.

Pretentious? It's just that I'd think that a medical doctor would be content if the main character died due to the damages that he'd received, rather than for no reason other than the plot surviving. A different ending? No, because it all lead down to that "fight".
Hmm, fair enough. Still not really good enough to satisfy me though, but then I was expected something just an inch short of apotheosis if not that.
Maybe you'd have gotten it if you'd watched it all, but that's an untestable theory by now, I'd say.

It's certainly possible, I think I might see if I can rewatch it. It's been long enough that I've forgotten a bit too much of it so yeah. I'll give it another shot and even if I find it unwatchable after ep 25, I'll see if I can grin and bear it for  science.

I still doubt that I'll actually be content with the ending though, but maybe seeing it fully rather than condensed into two paragraphs may help.
In case you skip this scene, remember that he said this way back at the beginning.
