The Flood / I really hate when gyms play awful songs
« on: November 21, 2014, 12:51:24 PM »
Mainstream songs like "bass" or whatever it's called (I honestly don't care) are played over and over again.
Not successively, but almost every time I'm there.

I felt like this so much that I covered my ears once, but it didn't help.

The Flood / Why are people fucking idiots?
« on: November 20, 2014, 02:37:41 PM »
Why can't they be rational when rationality is presented?

I became so mad when someone had the shittiest argument and my school mate with whom I hang out with thought that it was a decent argument.

The argument had nothing but generalizations; no facts supporting it; and the reasons why the argument was was so bad that it made me in-deliberately touch my glabella.

When confronted I asked him to name one thing that didn't generalize (he told me there wasn't a single generalization), but he just laughed it off and whatever.

Just why? I reckon that at least some of you can tell me why.

The Flood / Mind Thinking?
« on: November 17, 2014, 02:32:44 PM »

By now you've probably come to the realization that people like fictional scenarios a lot. "If you could be a fire wizard, or a water wizard; which one would you be?" These kind of scenarios being created shall be the template of my claims in this text.

YouTube

The reason why some like arguing so much; while other might prefer putting themselves into imaginary situations is all due to the need for thinking. What's this need for thinking? It could be due to the advantages in human evolution that's been displayed throughout thousands of years, but that's not of concern right now.

I'm bored of writing like this, so I'm gonna change the style of this text.

When arguing about different things; what you're doing is that you're imagining the points that it has with your points that your thought has. This enables you to switch sides if the argument is strong enough, though facts alone won't always do it.

Some background information:

Implicit questions are questions that are very broad, and explicit the opposite when there's an exact answer for it. Explicit question: How much is 100-50?
- It's -50
Implicit being something in the style of: What do you think about the new brand of ice cream?

Explicit questions aren't penetrating the mind that much, whereas implicit questions definitely have a bigger chance of doing so.

When trying to sell you an item, I must convince you of the new product. Facts alone will not persuade you at all times, because you still have doubt in your mind. By taking out your concerns (implicit questioning), and "correcting" them, or reassuring you; I leave you no choice but to buy the product.

It kind of works like that when arguing. The arguer is trying to push out your old beliefs, and bring in the new ones.

Thinking of imaginary situations might be a stupid thing, but it's stimulating, isn't it?

At this point in the text, I want to wrap things up, but I also realize that too much text can be tough to bring to mind, so I'll try to make it stick to your mind.

Pt. 2 probably never coming

I got bored than I was when writing this, so t-me
