The Flood / Re: I recorded a Cover song 3 times and almost Raged. AMA
« on: August 27, 2014, 05:38:08 PM »
I thought the song said unforeseen kiss.
Crowder's version says "unforeseen kiss".
The original version by John Mark McMillan and all the others say "sloppy wet kiss"

Crowder actually got flak for changing the words.
Now when he sings this song live, he actually steps away from the mic when singing that part.

Yeah, but something like WWIII? Every kid wants to live in a post-apocolyptic wasteland, but nobody wants to live through the events that create it.

Implying just a tad?

Screw that, World Peace baby!

All the new mods are community forum/private group fags. Many of those circle jerkers have been wanting to take down the flood for years so I have no doubt that they're using their new found authority to "clean house" so to speak.
Then they will have to try harder.

The Flood has been around longer than any other group,
we won't be wiped away so easily.

The whoaing just sounds odd as hell.
Pretty good cover though. I think I caught a few instances where your strumming sounded off, or rushed or whatever, but that may have just been me.
Not bad at all, man.

The Woah's are in the song.
The strumming, I actually messed for a second but recovered.
I didn't mess up in the OTHER 2 VIDEOs though -_-

So, I recorded a cover of "How He Loves" for youtube, and my phone would record the whole thing fine.
THEN it would pull the "sorry, video cannot be played" bulllcrap when I would try to watch or upload it.
I nearly chucked my phone out the window.

I had to sing this song 3 times all the way through,
pretty tough since I hit my highest note several times in it.

YouTube

ENJOY, then help me vent :)

1) Cussed my dad out for 2 minutes straight on the phone while yelling at the top of my lungs.
(if you've known me on here for a whie, you'll know I never cuss, I'm a hardcore Christian)

2) On a later occasion when in person, refused to shake his hand and told him "he had to earn it".

So yeah, not a fan of my dad after what he's done.

Made a thread yesterday while I was sitting waiting for my car to be fixed and decided to make an obvious "I'm new" parody. Not sure how that's a bannable offense, but oh well, now I'm stuck here again.

Could someone do me a favor and see how long I'm banned for? Because I don't know how to check...

I was going to read that thread later today!
DANG IT!!!!

How long is the ban?

The Flood / Re: Most memorable dream
« on: August 27, 2014, 01:16:20 PM »
I thought of 2 more this morning: Both freaked me out equally. One on a personal level and the other just in general.

DREAM #1: I found myself in an empty parking lot, outside a generic looking restaurant. Looked like an IHOP, but didn't have a sign or anything that showed it was. It was just a building, with all the blinds lowered inside.

As I walked through the parking lot I saw a Police officer motioning for people to run away......but he was moving in slow motion. There were no other people besides him in view, and I apparently was invisible because he didn't see me walk past him. His police car door was open, and his computer had a blue screen on it like when your hard drive fails. I read some white lettering on the screen.........it was my Dad's name.
And he is a police officer.

I decided to walk into the restaurant, and saw my dad in a bullet-proof vest holding a rifle.
He was pacing back and forth looking down like he was looking at hostages or something, but there weren't any from what I could see.

I didn't know why, but I had this feeling like he was evil and  I had to get out of there.
As that thought came to mind, he looked me dead in the eye, loaded his weapon, then I woke up.

I truly believe this was symbolic of my dad's state of mind currently. He's living a lie, and refuses to accept that. When it all comes down on him, he'll feel trapped. Like he did in this dream.

DREAM #2

This one is much shorter.
I looked around, it was raining and I realized my hands were tied.
I was surrounded by what appeared to be North Korean soldiers, all armed with rifles.
I was the only person captive. I looked ahead, and saw a hangman's noose: They were going to hang me.
They began pushing me towards the noose, which was up a small boardwalk. As I got closer and closer,
I began to feel desperate.

I knocked a soldier over, then jumped over the boardwalk's railings. I began to run, and the soldiers began firing at me. I had so much adrenaline and fear going, that I kept falling as I ran. I never felt pain, but got shot in the left shoulder. As I started running after being shot, all the soldiers lined up and fired at once.
Then I woke up.

I think this dream came from reading about Kim Jong Un executing his uncle.

I'll bet I've been part of the Flood longer than you.
I meant you are new to this site, Im fairly new but not technically a newbie.
However it doesn't matter how long you've been around if you piss people off, they still won't like you.

I know a guy on BNet who hasn't been there 1 year, and he's one of the most popular users already.
Time doesn't always matter.

I have one that I remember very well. I was about eighteen, and lived with my family in a generic American neighborhood. My family left somewhere, and I was wearing a white gown and had black hair a little past my shoulders. After they left, a bit of time passed, and then I was in the dining room, chopping a guy's arm off with an axe. The arm fell to the floor and I saw a pool of blood covering the whole floor, and multiple other body parts and mutilated bodies. I fell to my knees in the blood, covering my legs and lower portion of my gown.

My parents walked in the door and saw me there with my face buried in my hands, and my father ran over and grabbed me around the waist and pulled me out of there, not knowing that I was the one who did it. I then shook myself free from him, picked the axe back up, ran out the front door and a random guy was jogging by, and I hit him in the back with the axe, and began chopping his body up in the street. My father ran up again and put his arm around my neck and squeezed, holding it until I was unconscious. I blacked out and when I awoke, I was laying in the backyard and my father was next to me, digging a hole with a shovel. I sat up, and my father stopped and stared at me for a second, then hit me over the head with the shovel, knocking me unconscious again.

Those dreams are the ones where you wake up in the middle of the night sweating.
I've had crazy messed up dreams, but I don't know why.

Being a hardcore Christian, you'd be amazed what messed up dreams I've had.
I've woken up in pure shock several times, wondering if I'm dead or not.

Umm just because it hasn't been done doesn't mean it can't be done. Life is not easy to create, it would require a very complex structure at its most basic level. Life on earth took the entire ocean and millions of years to start. A few labs with in a matter of decades wouldn't seem to be sufficient. Anyway, the point is that 'hasn't happened' =/= 'can't happen.'

We can try to recreate life: but not the origin of life.
It's already happened. We won't have another "origin of life".
Even if there are mass extinctions, they aren't TOTAL extinctions where ALL LIFE is wiped out.

We can't observe, therefore recreate and perform experiments on the origin of life.
