We've got a pretty terrible culture, which is why idk if you're fit to be normal.

I would say that since they are fictional or used mainly for comedy, I wouldn't have them here.
They are sometimes used for baiting, which belongs in The Flood. If a serious discussion is expected, I'd use a serious article.
