The Flood / Re: Group of 4th Grader Attempt to Poison their Teacher
« on: January 07, 2015, 09:47:46 PM »
I chuckled

Quote
A group of fourth graders in Genesee County are accused of trying to poison their teacher.

Deputies say this happened in the Town of Elba, just north of Batavia, in the days leading up to the Christmas break.

According to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office, the fourth graders tried to sicken the teacher by covering her personal items in hand sanitizer. That teacher has a severe allergy to hand sanitizer and students were told at the beginning of the year. Deputies say they knew it could cause a serious health problem for their teacher.

Parents we spoke with Wednesday night were surprised by the story.

Mike Hare, an Elba parent, says, "We know some of the parents and the children and we're disappointed in it."

Officials aren't moving forward with any charges against the students and the school is handling the incident internally.

"We surely hope the school takes some good action to help these children to get back on track," says Hare.
Hare added, "Part of me wants to take it and say it's just kid shooting their mouths off doing what kids do, but to take action as they did -- it's a little extreme"

We're told the teacher did not become ill. We reached out to members of the school board, the school district and the principal Wednesday night, but no one would comment on camera.

Why did you make this thread once already but get it locked?

My answer remains the same. Just make Destiny 2 good.
I ended up posting it before I could do the OP. So I changed the title to let people know the thread wasn't ready yet. When I was doing the OP that's when it got locked.

The problem with making Destiny 2 good is that the first game is such shit. The first game has hardly a story so with the 2nd game they would either have to cram it all in that game or continue with what's not there. Even if the 2nd game is good the damage has already been done by the first game. Whatever they were hopping to do with it is not going to happen. There still is time to change that.

My bad. I assumed you didn't mean to make that thread.
I did ask you to PM me if you wanted it unlocked though >.>

But, to the topic:

I think they just need to reword the story for Destiny 2. To really erase all the crap in the first game.
Don't remove what we've done, but don't let us accomplish all the cool stuff in the first game. Because its so lackluster.

Save the good stuff for later.

Halo CE does feel pretty odd when you go back to it.

I don't like the feel of it anymore since I'm so used to Halo 2 and 3, but the story and the fact that it started it all, is the reason it's in my top 3.

I admire the forward thinking, though I still think overall it's a stupid idea.

Is there anywhere on the internet where you wouldn't be willing to put your address? Dark/Deep web, stuff like that.
it's less a matter of place and more a matter of circumstance

here's the thing
posting an address by itself isn't anything--you'd have to be one dedicated stupid-ass lifeless motherfucker to travel to my location just because i posted it on the internet

if i posted something like "i have one trillion dollars up for grabs in my house" (which i don't), and then posted my address, okay, yeah, that's pretty dumb

if you are someone with people searching for you
then don't post your address, duh

but, if you're open to the idea of meeting people over the internet and sharing what city brought you up as a kid, and discussing your place's culture and stuff like that, i don't see anything wrong with that

People are usually attacked because they "happen" to be located near the person who posted their address.
You say I'm crazy if I drive across the entire country to find you.

But..........if you are only a 15 minute drive into town, that's not hard to do.

News / Re: The Heroic Legend of Arslan OAV Review
« on: January 07, 2015, 07:08:16 PM »

Based on a Japanese fantasy novel series of the same name, the author Yoshiki Tanaka begun writing the story as early as 1986 that is still ongoing. The story elements are based on Persian history, where many references to names are from the epic of Amir Arsalan.

The story mainly follows the group of Prince Arslan and their exploits during a time of crisis in the kingdom of Pars. Where enemies from all sides attempt to invade, and further intrigue takes place.

The story itself has some mythology of its own and elements of mystery, and despite that each episode is made by different studios it has a certain consistency in the art style which is the average one for the early 90’s fantasy anime, and characters who are quite loyal to the story; the core issue lies, however on the amount of cut parts from the novels.

Fitting everything in something that is supposed to last an hour at best somewhat forces certain things to be cut, and short time skips between the episodes that are not fully explained. Furthering that someone may need to actually read the novel to purely understand the ongoing story

The soundtrack befits the OAVs, and it is dark, mysterious and also gives a support to each film. Where men with swords clash, and intrigues are explained, the music plays at the right time, and in battles it also restraints itself to let the sound of flesh, arrows and metal clash take place. The feeling of certain tracks feels like a far echo to the much later Diablo game soundtracks as they use similar techniques, and rhythms to give a similar feeling on what is shown.

This story has been going on for a while, wow.

I'm a sucker for a great soundtrack. Sometimes the music itself can save a piece of art from mediocrity.
Persian history intrigues me because I know so little of it, and it's misrepresented in what I've seen, like the movie "300".

It's unfortunate it's short and requires more material to understand, but it sounds pretty good.

Great review Isara!

hmm... would you rather be able to clean anything perfectly or be able to whisk away any dirty spot?

in order to clean the thing perfectly, you'll have to spend plus 4 minutes on it. so, if you take 2 minutes to vacuum normally, you'll need to take 6 minutes in order for it to be perfect. if you make any dirty spot disappear, it'll look shabby.
Clean it perfectly, since it would look better.

Edit: you mean this? ^

What kinda music did you make with your friend?

Also, what is ur fav worship song.
We worked on my own music, a single I've been making for a while. I do Contemporary/Christian Rock.

As for my favorite song, I'd say "How great is our God". Its sung across the world in so many languages. Simple yet profound
