Toggle option. LOL 343 is fucking horrible.
Why is it bad that it's a toggle. I would assume the competitive/ MLG/ arena playlists would have the toggle off, and thus mean there are playlists for people who do and don't like it.

It's because it's still in the game. After all he thinks the game should be catered to him and these competitive gamers only.
Nah, it's a problem because it's still in the game as the default settings. It's harder to get people into Competitive Halo when the settings are so radically different as no sprint, which is going to require all different maps as well, I'd bet.
Sprint could stay in the game in some way so long as it was something like an armor ability or trait. It just becomes trickier then, because 343i removed AA's/Equipment and you'd need to code Sprint to a button, and if it's a thing that's toggled off in a majority of the playlists/gametypes then it becomes questionable as to have it all; being, is it worth the time and resources?
Don't forget Sprint was an AA in Reach, and people used it more than any other.
That's why Halo 4 had default sprint.
Except that's a really, really, really, really dumb reason if that's the case. People also used Armor Lock A LOT, yet we don't see that anymore.
I'm sure the cons of sprint have been stated in here, so I won't bother with that now.
Just sayin, that was 343's reasoning behind it being default in Halo 4.

Lack of use.
Why would that justify getting rid of it? The machine gun turret hardly gets used and that's still there.
But also, I think having a huge cannon is enough firepower. It's still nice to have the thing when the cannon is reloading. It's bullshit that you have to sit there and take damge from a target that could have been killed by the machine gun. It would have also been useful in the campaign. You can use the thing with the cannon while you're firing at phantoms.
I agree it should have stayed in Campaign, screw the gunner seat.

 I remember playing this at my neighbors' house for the first time. Also about the same time I first played Halo 2 all those years ago. I remember it being a ton of fun. Let's just say I was introduced to all the great Xbox games around Halo 2's time thanks to my neighbors. As for the game itself, the thing that hooked my interest was starting out in Pearl Harbor. Just a fun game
