the human eye can't see past 30 frames anyway, so who cares?
It also has that cinematic look and feel to it. After all a picture that looks more fluid is worse than one that's slower.

Gaming / For Battlefield what map designs did you like better?
« on: February 05, 2015, 05:40:44 AM »
In 1942 instead of the maps being linear the whole thing was open up and the maps were more open as well. So with D-Day the US can land on the beach and storm up the hill and be pushed back. The whole match can go like that. With the island maps you can be in a plane and attack from any side and you can land in a boat from any side wit ha group.

With the current games the maps are more linear. The map isn't open at first so it unlocks over time. And when a section does get unlocked nobody is fighting in the previous sections. Unlike 1942 where the whole map usually has things going on. Then for the more open maps they are still linear. You're going down the map in line which the maps are more like a rectangle unlike the maps in 1942 which was more of a square shape.

For myself I like the 1942 designs better. I like being able to attack anywhere on the map instead of it being closed off until a certain amount of time. And I like how open they felt. In the current games they feel almost linear like since the map long wise is larger than the width wise.

You would often miss your melee lunge against good players, so you did actually have to aim and time your melee well, or you would easily wind up dead
Look at all that aiming he's doing. He's aiming so well that it looks like he's not even aiming at the person.

which was impossible in Halo 3 to miss your melee and in later games.
Lel. In Halo 3 and the later games the circle had to be red unlike in Halo 2 when you don't even have to have it on them.

No it didn't. The target was also standing still in Halo 2. It's obvious you never played Halo 2 online.
Even if he was moving you would still have a greater chance of hitting the person unlike the other Halo's due to that assists. You can be a foot or so behind him and still make the hit due to that assist. In Halo 3 and the other games you have to be right on them.
Quote
It's obvious you never played Halo 2 online.[
Nope and there's no reason to in order to understand how broken it is. Anybody can watch a video and know the assist is horrible and you can go onto forums and read about the other problems. You don't need to play the game in order to understand how horrible the game got made. It's like Ride to Hell: Retribution or that truck racing game. They don't need to play them in order to understand how broken or shitty they are.

Just finished watching the full video. My heart dropped, i'm almost in fucking tears right now, i've seen disturbing shit but the guys screaming and pain just churned my stomach.
I didn't feel sad but I do feel for the guy. That's one of the worst ways to die. Hell I would rather be set on fire from a flamethrower because at least I'm able to move around. Being in there on fire and nowhere to go is just hell. The video still has nothing on this though.

Fallout 3 modernized it, sure. It would have been modernized if anyone had made it.
Maybe not FPS but it would have changed into something. With the original Fallout 3 you would of had the options of either the turn base combat or real time. So the developer was testing out new gameplay with that game.

how did he ruin fallout?
Fallout 3.
That's how.
fallout 3 was a 7/10 game
No.
Not at all.
More like a 5/10 on it's own merits or a 2/10 when you look at its predecessors.
Except the previous sucked in terms of gameplay and can even be unplayable.
Only if you're braindead.
Nope. In terms of writing, Black Isle, and in extension Obsidian, were superior, but in terms of gameplay, Fallout 3 greatly enhanced it.
I do find Fallout 2 fun but you are right about the gameplay. Even though it's another FPS game it does give it replay value. With Fallout 2 it's mainly a story game with fun gameplay that last as long as you're doing the quests. With Fallout 3 and NV the gameplay can have longer replay value due to it being what it is.

It's funny that this guy was the project leader for Morrowind. I just can't get how you can go from a game like that to a game like Skyrim which is dumbed down to shit and has the same amount of depth as a small puddle on a sidewalk.

There's also a cat parasite called toxoplasma which affects mice. It causes them to be fearless and move in closer to the cat. This parasite also affects humans as well to a degree. Then there's those parasites or whatever it is that causes insects to guard hornets eggs.

God you're a mong.

Right, because MW2 is definitely the only game I am talking about. You're a retard.
lol
Halo 2 is a hand holding sim. Every other game after it most certainly don't have aim assist and bullet mag out the jacksie.
Lmao. I bet you sucked ass in Halo 2.
Being good at the game still doesn't change it being unfinished and broken. No matter how good or bad you are you're still going to be able to melee someone to death by not even having the aiming circle on them.

Gaming / Re: >yfw you find out Sprint will remain in Halo 5

Every game after Halo 2 which is true.
Like I said it's still not as bad as what Halo 2 has it.
Quote
If you thought Halo 2 had it easy, you should play MW2. That game literally aims for you.
I have along with CoD 2, Black OPS, OPS 2, MW3 and Ghosts. From what I played the games still are not as bad as what Halo 2 is. Unlike Halo 2 in those games I still have to have my sights right on the guy to kill him.
Quote
Not to mention how much less skill they take compared to Halo 2.
How much skill does it take to be barley aiming at the person and nearly every shot hits? How much skill does it take to get a melee kill when you're not even aiming at the person? How much skill does it take to kill someone across the map with a sword? How much skill does it take to kill somebody instantly with a button glitch?
Quote
That's because its true for the most part. How many games these day are shipped unfinished and literally broken these days?
Games are broken during released but from the ones I've played none of them compared to what Halo 2 is for being broken. Halo 2 is the only game I heard of to have an instant kill glitch or aim assist that makes nearly every shot make contact when you're barely on the person.
Quote
They require patches after patches before they become playable.
Which usually fixes the problems. Halo 2 on the other hand still has things that were left untouched until the servers went down. The instant kill combo never got patched and the bullet magnetism didn't get patched to work like it did in Halo CE.
Quote
Halo 2 received only one patch and the game worked always.
The game sure did work fine after one patch.

Sprint is what sucks. I don't like sprint. I'd rather have Call of Duty 2 ported for Xbox One than Halo 5.
You think Halo 2 isn't Hand Holding Simulator: 2004, though; but every game after Halo 2 aims for you.
You're really not someone worth listening to.
lol, what? Stop speaking for others and embarrassing yourself in front of everyone you have no idea you're talking about.
What he said is true. You did try defending the horrible aim assist by saying every game aims for you. Yes games have aim assist but it's not as bad as what Halo 2 is. In that game you can barley be aiming at the person and nearly every shot makes contact. Hell the melees hit when the circle isn't even red.
Spoiler
You also tried to defend Halo 2 about how broken it is by saying every game is like that. You're saying every game is as broken as that game when a lot of games aren't.

Please tell me more about your substantial experience in working as a chief executive of a large company.
Sure not everybody knows how to run a business but should they still be making much much more than what the regulars workers are making when they do more and work harder? Sure those people are what's running the company business but your workers are the ones who are doing things to make you money and they are the ones who are the reason why you have a company.

The only thing that doesn't have better customisation than Skyrim is Fallout- armour is arms, legs, arms and feet and the helmet is just a hat.

Two things.

Customisation of armour is the only thing I give Oblivionand Morrowind.
if all you get out of RPGs is visual customization, you should be playing CoD or an MMO.
Where did he say that's the only thing they offer? I listed somethings Morrowind did better than Skyrim and he listed a thing Skyrim does better than a game.

Yeah yeah ISIS is the embodiment of evil and all that jazz, but let's not get caught in the hype. This happens every single day in Africa, Mexico, South America, China. Yet we only seem to care when it's near oil.
There's a video of some gay guy in Uganda getting beat up and then set on fire. Yet that isn't as popular as this guy.

ISIS is a more organized threat and is constantly releasing new media to piss people off. It's easier to hate an organization that uses the very source of media people frequent (social networking/internet)  to broadcast their latest atrocity.
And Uganda is a whole country instead of being a group of people. What would you say is worse? Some group of people with extreme ideals or a whole country with extreme ideals? ISIS burning this guy and the other things they done are no worse than the way gay's are being treated in this country. I say being burned alive in a cage is on the same level as being nearly beating to death and then set on fire for being gay.

The only reason why the first ship missed was because of some stupid plot device error. Any trained pilot could make the ship as long as there's no malfunctions.

What I love about Morrowind os how detailed the system is. Instead of the chest and grieves being the same thing it's separate. Then for the shoulders and gauntlets there's a left and right one.
